This can't be the team we go with for the rest of the year. I understand that Q, Woods, Jalen and even Ariza can play the 2 to some extent but we have to move one of these guys.
Does Woods actually become tradable before the deadline?
I would trade Ariza for Jarret Jack for one thing, simply to even up the roster and provide insurance for Steph missing games.
Craw has to be moved too, he will never play again with Rose on the roster.
how about jamal for earl watson
Briggs- that trade is so lopsided talent wise. u must really hate jamal...with a passion
I'd actually consider making the deal. I mean what is talent? Are you talking about potential? Cuz, what I'm most intersted in is the actual impact a player can have on the court, the contribuion he makes to make the team win. A lot has been said in the past yr about Craw's talent - his ballhandling, killer cross-over, quickness, and so on. But he's been in the league for 5 yrs and he hasn't improved much, has he? He's awful on the D, he's way too inconsistent, he doesn't work on making himself stronger, he takes bad shots, not smart with the ball, etc. Yeah, on some night he scores 30 but when he doesn't do it on a regular basis and his other areas of the game aren't so good, how is he going to contribute?
Watson, on the other hand, might not have the same level of talent (as you say) as Crawford, but he plays great D, gives out more assists, has better shooting %, and he's consistent. He's not gonna score 30, but you know what you're gonna get from him. He is reliable, and won't mess up the game by playing inconsistent. Plus Watson's contract is much easier to swallow than Crawford's. I'm not saying he's a great player, but he's good piece to have. And right now, I might take him over Crawford.
