As for the draft, I think trade is a clear indication Isiah will NOT be fired (barring some awful result in the Anucha case). Dolan let him take on $32 million in luxo and salary for a pick and a win now type player to help the offense and fill a hole for a few seasons. I think this trade says Isiah will be here to use this pick. Could be wrong, but what I really want to talk about is the draft:

As far as draft needs, if we're guessing Denver will have about the 20th pick, who are our options? I would say the biggest need of this team is a big SG who can defend and lock down the other teams best perimeter scorer. I think that would help the whole team.

options for big SG:

Brandon Roy 6'5" 195lbs - defensive stopper, played with Nate, decent offense

Brandon Rush 6'7" 210lbs - may not come out, may go really high, prototypical SG frame

Rudy Fernandez 6'6" 175lbs - a little light, not sure about his defense

James White - 6'7" 190lbs - cant seem to bulk up, dunk champ in high school, never lived up to his superstar potential. he's long but not too physical from what I've seen.

those seem like the big four for SGs. anyone else?

as far as bigs, Josh Boone and Hilton Armstrong are both guys I like a lot, but I've seen them a lot. both are physical shotblockers.

You don't fire someone after 2 years that you thought was smart enough to be hired in the first place. I can't say I love the roster but 5 1st rd picks in a 2 year span is not such a bad scenario, esp. with Isiah drafting.

If Douby comes out, I would take him with SA's pick.

I would love to get Ronnie Brewer 6'7 200 lbs, but he might be gone by time we pick.

Next in line for me is Brandon Rush!

I have yet to watch anything but big east basketball.....not many SG's in the big east I really like.

JJ Reddick is in the same mold as Trajan Langdon(sp?) I dunno what to expect from Reddick in the pros. I'll let some other team find out.
