Yeah and after reading some stories today, sounds like Martin is pretty banged up and that they are thinking about trading Earl Watson so maybe they'll lose a few games. Minnestota and Utah are hot on Denvers tails for 1st place in that division and whoever doesn't win that division, I don't think is making the playoffs...

If it is lottery protected we must hope they stay away from that #10. Unless it gives us an unprotected lottery pick in 2007...

Denver is my favorite team to hate since my friend there emails me daily blistering the Knicks.

Now I have group support in rooting for their downfall.

we don't want downfall, just mediocrity for them. 13th pick or so would be nice.

Is there any confirmation yet on what kind of protection this pick has? I keep hearing all these different things in different threads. No protection, 1-5 protection, 1-10 protection, restraining order from Anucha... It's confusing.

nba.com says the pick has 1-5 protection. it's the pick from the Kmart trade, went to NJN, then to TOR, then to us.


The breakdown of the future picks acquired by the Nets includes: Clippers 2005, protected 1-14 or 2006, unprotected: Philadelphia 2005, protected 1-8 or 2006, protected 1-5 or 2007, unprotected: Denver 2006, protected 1-5, 2007, protected 1-2, 2008, unprotected.

So if the Denver has the 6th pick this year, we get it, but if it's the 5th pick or higher, they get it?

actually, nevermind, it's top two protected next year. oh well, it should be a good pick either way.

TT comes off the book (or could have used him to get JRose & a pick), Sweetney is a good young PF who grabs lots of boards, NYK 2006 pick could be Aldridge/Morrison/Gay/whoever you like/or even Shelden & Gansey(traded down for 2 picks), and 07 pick could be Greg Oden.

Oden/Frye/JJ
Shelden/Sweetney/Mo
Woods/Lee/Ariza/Q
Rose/Gansey/Nate
Marbury/Crawford
