The reason a NY sports team has not won a championship in years is because we are not patient.

We never let any of our teams completely rebuild and take a new path, we are also definatle spoiled by the yankees. Looking at other cities they tend to allow a rebuild to take place smoother than us NY fans.

a lot of those season ticket holders in the high priced sections of the garden are by far the most impatient. some may say they have a right to be that way since they are paying the most money, but a team is a team and we have to get worse to get better sometimes.

we all just need to lighten up on the situation and face the facts...WE ARE REBUILDING!!!

so i say **** u to all those corporate season-ticket holding impatient mother****ers.....its time for NY to get off the stage for a year.

the reason we havent had a number one pick since ewing is because the franshise has been scared to rebuild....Im not saying that this is a complete rebuild but isaih is doing wat he can with wat was given to him. he is bringing in some youngs guys and a new coach and thats wat we need him to keep doing.

to all u LB and Isaih haters out there...shut the hell up!!!! we dont need to fire anybody!!!! we treat this team like the apprentice...****

Do you really believe what you posted?

It's ownership that doesn't have patience, not the fans.

ownership doesnt have patience because sometimes we dont let them. look at all the people on this board quick to fire a mother****er faster than donald on apprentice. dolan is showing some patience now...he is comfortable...we still arent!!!!! and like i said also its mostly the rich season ticket holding mother****ers!!!!

Ya......caz fans actually effect how a team plays.

Wow......roflwaffles for everyone.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I would agree with you if I knew for a fact that this team was rebuilding, but at this point Im pretty sure that it's just something that isiah said to calm the masses. If you recall Isiah specifically said before this season began that the priority would be on winning games and NOT to developing the youth, I just find it kind of strange that he would change plans so quickly.

also this team doesnt seem to have a real dedication to youth, guys like david lee, and jackie butler play well one game and get DNP the next, I suppose there could be a good reason for this, and I am open to theories, but I for one just dont see how that could happen unless developing our young guys is not a priority.

also there's something about your post that I find kind of strange, you said that the reason the knicks dont win is becuase the organization hasnt been patient yet you said that isiah did the best with what he was given. dont you realize that it was his decision NOT to rebuild when he took over and further sunk this franchise with "win now" moves? I suppose you could say that dolan made him do it like some do, but still, it's obvious from his moves that isiah thomas's plan since taking over the knicks is just to add talent to the roster whenever the oppurtunity presents itself without worrying about the reprucussions or how exactly that talent would be used to win, and hasnt changed that philosophy until a couple of months ago, if even then, if anything that is the opposite of rebuilding, so I dont understand how you could give him a pass and yet say that the knicks should have rebuilt.

oh and another thing to keep in mind is that the fans dont make the moves in the knicks organization, Isiah thomas does, so it kinda doesnt make sense for you to say something like the reason the knicks havnt won is becuase the fans are impatient.

We haven't won a championship since 1973. Since then the Lakers have won 8.

actually I read somwhere that fans can effect how a team plays through unjust booing. I suppose that may be a factor in our situation somewhat since garden fans seem to have little reservations for booing the players when they stink up the joint, but I doubt that is a significant factor in our many loses.

We don't want a quick fix, we want a coherent plan that is executed with a strategy in mind. Not, let's trade for Marbury while addding his bloated contract to our cap strapped payroll, then say we are rebuilding but try to do it while giving up unrestricted, lottery bound, first round picks.

i feel that some of isaihs moves is an affect of how impatient NY fans are. we want a championship tomorrow. if u were refering to isaih trading for steph when he just came then i believe he did that to calm us down, the fans. because we cant accept a rebuild we needed to be given hope.

about the rookies not playing lately, u can gurantee if we go on another long loosing streak thats all u will see...because its one thing about larry brown that has been the same all season long and that is he doesnt take any bull****!!!!

Yeah, that's right, it's the fans holding the organization back. Because we hate losing and want to win, (such an odd attitude) we force management time and time again to look for quick fixes rather than go for a full blown rebuild. It's amazing to think of how much power we really hold over upper management.

That would explain the hike in ticket prices every year as well... we use our influence to force the team to charge us more, cause hell, why not? We won't accept anything less! We like overpaying to see the mediocrity we demanded!

Bro you are retarded.

If you think we are truly rebulding you have sh@it for a brain. We are millions of dollars over the cap, have traded awayh picks consistently the past few years, made trades for vets at the deadline giving up picks, and signed a veteran center to a max MLE deal.

You are one dumb motherf@uker!
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I don't care if we are rebuilding, what I care about is a team that shows effort, attitude and has heart. You don't get beat by 20 and 30 points on consecutive nights (by two teams that aren't good) if you have those attributes.

You guys don't think fan and media reaction has anything to do with the fact that we've been trading away draft picks for the past 20 years. You don't think GM's are making these trades in order to save their jobs because they know if we lose they will be fired? I think there is some definite validity to this.
I just hope that people will like me

exactly how i feel... if this team was losing while putting up a fight & showing some heart, i'd have no problem w/being patient... but they look like dogs, plain & simple... are we supposed to just accept that & not vent our frustration over it?
