both traded from winning teams

one goes to ny and proceeds to stink it up worse than a baby's diaper after a night of gerber's white castles.

the other guy goes to toronto and puts the team on his back. he's playing his way to big $$$'s and is the leader of that team.

wow.

toronto was up something like 20 pts with 5 minutes to go. washington fights back to within 1 with a minute to go. mike james drills 2 three pointers in a row to kill 'em.

um, yeah, we could use a guy like that...

i see Q trying on D... at times. I also see Q hoisting 3's without so much as knowing how many passes have been made, how deep into the shotclock the team is in. We all saw what happened 2 minutes into the second half of the Lakers game.

I like Mike James a lot. He's as tough a guard as you'll find. When there were those Rose rumors, I really wanted him included. He adds some toughness that we need desperately.

I'm never impressed when a player has a career year in his contract year.

Mike James is good. He has been pretty consistent over the past 2-3 years, but he IS having a career year this year.

James played pretty well in past years too. He just didn't get as much playing time and wasn't as big a part of team's offenses. He's always been a good scorer and great defender off the bench, though. It's not like he was lazy and out of shape until his contract year.

I've always liked Mike James. It's a shame we didn't get him when his price tag was low.

The big difference between Houston this year and last year is not having Mike James. MAJOR BLUNDER.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Yeah, I'm sure Q's play hasn't had anything to do with a nagging back injury that's kept him out for stretches, forced him to miss camp. Or the fact that he just got a divorce over the summer. Or the fact that his brother was murdered during the season. Nah, he's just a loser.

I think T-Mac and Yao have missed more games this year too, but I could tell right away that trading James for Alston was a mistake.

You're right, but even in the games they played, they were not the same team that they were at the end of last year.
