Successful Scenario Due to New York and Orlando being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Orlando had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In year 2005-06 we would lose Antonio's 13 mil, but pick up Cato's expiring 8 mill (plus Marbury makes more than Francis). Year 2007-08 we lose about 20 mill from Houstons contract and then another 21 mill from Rose and Willaims expiring contracts and about 17 mill from Taylor and Anderson's expiring contracts. Thats aproxamately 58 MILLION we can lose off the cap by the 2007-08 season if these two trades were made. Hopefully we can trade Jerome back to Seatle because I think thats the only team that would take him. Maybe something like Jerome James and a second rounder for Danny Fortson. Thats another 7 mill off in 2007-08.
