Longislandknicksfan, could you make a movie where the team literally gets blown up? I'm sure we could find people to donate the money.

lol.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

As long as it's not CGI, then yes, if we do a model of MSG and the players, then we can blow them up. Eh, that kinda sounds like a terrorist plan, ha.

Have to admit, I'd sorta like to see that. It would be cathartic.

Then we could send it to Dolan and be like "This is what will happen if you don't trade for expiring contracts!"

I agree the team should be blown up for these reasons....You guys want to have the chance to offer Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony or Dwayne Wade big time contracts during the Summer of 2008?

Thomas gotta have some creativity. This is how I would do it in different trade scenarios:

There are two trades I would keep in mind revolving around Jamal Crawford. Yea he is still young and he is the flashiest player on the team and he has been a good offensive player off the bench. But Knicks fans, do ya really think he is going to be part of a winning team???? I would think about trading him to either to the Charlotte Bobcats or the Houston Rockets. Crawford is young so he would be helpful to those teams. I would trade Crawford to the Rockets for Derek Anderson and David Wesley. Why would this benefit the Knicks? Crawford has a 5 year contract and Derek Anderson's contract expires this year and Wesley's next year. Now if you don't do that trade then I would rather trade Crawford to the Bobcats for Melvin Ely and Jumaine Jones. Melvin Ely's contract expires next year and Jumaine Jones comes off the books this season. The next one is Quentin Richardson. Now I know he has been wack this year and he has had back issues but come on don't you think teams out there would take a chance on his 3 pt shooting if he was in the right system??? Two playoff contending teams that could use him would be the Lakers and Bucks. I would try to trade Quentin to the Lakers for Devean George and Stanislav Medvedenko (both contracts expiring this year). Let us not forget that Quentin's contract has 4 years left on it. Now trading Quentin to the Bucks would mean us getting back Joe Smith and Reece Gaines. Gaines would come off the cap this season and Joe Smith would come off next season. Another trade involving Quentin Richardson would include Atlanta but that would be hard to make. I would try and get Al Harrington for Quentin Richardson and Trevor Ariza. Now the biggest trade chip from the veterans that I think has the biggest trade value right now is Mo Taylor. At least 4 teams in my mind could use his services. Indiana, Memphis, Orlando and Utah, all playoff contenders. Indiana could use him cuz of JO's injury, Memphis could use his low post scoring, Orlando could use him as their starting pf and Utah could use his scoring off the bench. I would try to trade Jerome Jamesand Mo Taylor to the Pacers for Scott Pollard, Eddie Gill and Jonathan Bender. In that deal you get 2 expiring contracts this year and one for next year. The one for next year would be Jonathan Bender. Now the Grizzlies scenario would bring back an expiring contract in Lorenzen Wright. Trading Mo to the Magic would bring back Kelvin Cato and Bo Outlaw (both expiring contracts this year). Trading him to Utah would also bring back two expiring contracts in Matt Harpring and Greg Ostertag. People say that it is hard for the Knicks to get under the cap cuz they are WAYYYYY over the cap and they have no flexibility. The latter is true but to be a good and smart GM you have to be CREATIVE. Now obviously you would try to get draft picks in some of these deals but there is no way that you can say Thomas can't do anything to get under the cap. Now that it seems the Knicks have hit rock bottom why not just tank the season. We ain't going to get back that pick from the Bulls so forget about it. Let us just hope that the ping pong balls don't fall their way and if they do then so be it. Our best draft pick could come up in 2008 if we could some how get under the cap by then so we can get that draft pick via free agency. What yall think?

It doesn't matter who they bring in, LB will not let them play if it isn't the LB way!!!
LB,s micro-managing will stifle anyone who comes here.

I think the only way for the Knicks to be successful is to change league... but not a basketball league, anything else that's not too physical or too tiring. Any suggestion?

Come on, they can at least try to compete with these guys !!!

Yeah, teams are lining up to deal their expiring contracts for the likes of Crawford, Q, Mo, Ariza and, best of all, James. The only team that would do that would be the Knicks ... and I don't think NBA rules allow a team to trade a player to itself.

We could not get Kurt back for Qich and Nate!
