We start:

Marbury
Nate
Lee
AD
Curry

and win 6 in a row. We lose 8 of the next 9 and it's a different lineup every game. The lineups are a big reason why they're losing. No one knows their role out there. Obv, Marbury and AD were not available for parts of those 9 games, but what's the excuse for going away from Lee and Nate? They play hard, they defend or at least try.

We will never win without consistent roles for the guys on this team. It's going to be a confusing mess. All NBA players play better when they have confidence. If you KNOW that you are coming out of the game the first time you miss a three or you're going to lose your role if you have a bad practice you aren't going to have any confidence.

Props to Marbs for playing hurt, but he should just sit and rest if LB is going to change the lineup every game. There's no point wasting Marbury when you're going to start Malik Rose.

Kobe is going to kill us tomorrow.

it's certainly frustrating. more frustrating is that I know I will be there tomorrow night, but I couldn't tell you who will be starting...

Marbury
Nate
Curry
Qyntel
Lee

I wouldn't normally start Lee at PF, but what the heck is Kwame Brown gonna do against him?

I would actually like to start Frye at PF.

What about a superbig front line and Qyntel at the 2?

Marbury
Qyntel
Lee
Frye
Curry

Frye and Lee and Qyntel can hit the outside shot and space the floor for Curry and the size may help the D. Whatever Brown picks, I hope he sticks with it. Now is the time Brown needs to put his foot down, set a lineup for the rest of the season and stay with it. The needs continuity and they need set roles they go out and perform every night.

Lee rebounds and passes, two things in short supply on the Knicks.

I'm OK with your lineup. The reason I "re-included" Nate was that he gives 100% effort, another thing in short supply on the Knicks.

In any event, I would now bench Crawford. I have had it with him.

Craw is trying, but he's pretty stupid. He has no idea how to run the point and with Marbury hurting that is killing us.

I don't mind starting Nate, but Nate against Kobe doesn't seem fair. Then again, Brown will probably start Q on Kobe and that doesn't seem fair either.

Simply I would start

Steph
QW
Lee
Frye (or Butler to have a rugged PF next to Curry)
Curry

Craw, Butler, Ariza, Nate off the bench....

AD, Malik, Penny, Jerome, Ariza, Q1 should all be up for trades in which we acquire at least a number 1 pick or a young player and an at least serviceable player...such as

AD for Ratliff and Jack
James and Ariza for JR Smith and Nachbar (cut Nachbar)
Penny and Malik for Jalen, James, and a #1

Start
Steph/james/Jack
JR Smith/crawford/Nate (as a specialty player)
Q2/Jalen/
Frye/Lee
Curry/Ratliff/Butler

Woods is playing too well not to start him if he's healthy.

Marbury
Woods
Lee
Taylor
Curry

Frye will give us some dependable scoring off the bench. I don't like Lee as a starting SF but we have no better options.

I agree. if that lineup is available, it should start for the rest of the season.

I'm going to assume AD is still "hurting" and won't be available...any of the other PFs can start in his stead...in order of preference:
MoT - has shown to be a veteran leader and hard nosed defender
Frye - I still like frye's game, he seems to rush shots, but hey, he's a rook
Jackie B - I'm torn between him and lee, but lee looks skinnier than he did in college (more like when he was in high school before the broken arm) and is looking more and more a gifted 3...I stand corrected, he's now a 3.

The Q woods at the 2 is interesting...I hadn't thought about it, but he is a scorer and his defense has improved...he's definitely a really good Reezy (jokes, reezy is still a raw kid with asthma IMHO)

I was just speaking with a buddy about hte knicks (one that doesn't get the daily ultimate knicks hater report each morning) and he was as enthusiastic as I was on our future, is it me, or is every bonafide knick under 25?

QRich was horrible last night, but he has shown flashes of being a scorer and a solid defender (relative to the rest of the team).

Well, it's not going to be 47 games (or whatever I predicted) but I'm much more high on this team's future than last year's team.

The question is...what will THE Starting lineup be after contracts expire, trades go through and the team is ready to run?

I'm thinking...and don't quote me on this...
Marbs, Nate, Lee, Frye, Curry...if just feels right.
Once crawford learns the game...

Larry Brown sucks as a coach I'm sorry no one knows their roles and we are at the All-Star break, and he kills players confidence players are lost, afraid if they make one mistake they are out of the rotation, this guy has been lost all season and hasn't made any progress with any of the kids......

This is the worst knicks team i have seen in recent memory

I've got a conspiracy theory-

Larry Brown put Anucha Browne Sanders up to leveling the harrasment charges so he could avoid the media spotlight and continue in his efforts to destroy this team.

Isiah & Dolan should have a talk with him and just ask him to play the young guys (Ariza, Jackie Brown, Woods) so we can figure out if any are worth resigning in the summer.
