The Knicks have to offer their 4.5 million exemption to Jeff McInnins in order to fix their point guard problem. They will not be able to acquire baron davis or any other point guard with Spree. Now that nobody wants Spree, trade Ward and Thomas for Mutombo or another big body. I like Jeff McInnis and he is a lot better than anything we have already!

The Knicks won't spend their whole exception. If McInnis wants to sign a deal with New York starting a 2.75M than we should sign him. I also like Troy Hudson and Travis Best for point guards.

The only problem with this is that the Knicks already have 2 point guards signed to big money and a third one on the bench. I don't even know if the Knicks have any spots left on their bench. Doleac may have taken the last one.

I agree I think that we should go for McInnis he is a quality point guard...he's the type of pg we need and we dont give up anyone for him. then we could trade ward and harrington for nazr mohammed

That is a great idea...Muhammed would be a huge help...I am not however with y'all on the idea of signing McInnis...he can stay in LA for all I care...

McInnis is a much better point guard than eisley or frank williams and would be a good fit on the knicks...if a team puts a weak defender on him (becasue their better defensive guards will be on spree and houston), he can make them pay becasue he can score, and he also can dish and isnt undersized. and he's 27...
Nazr Mohammed is a solid player that could start at the 5 and thomas could back up the PF, his natural position adn occasioanlly play the 5...that way we take care of our two weak positions...look at our lineup and we have no gaping deficincies

We dont need a fourth PG, plus, McInnis, reminds me of Chirs Childs (not that they play alike but that they both come from bad teams. Childs had a good year in NJ before signing with us. Once he was in NY he sucked.) Mcinnis also had a good year, but on a bad team (yeah, I know the Clipps have talent, but they 're still the Clipps). I just dont want another Childs situation.

We need to try and trade for Payton, If that doesnt work out, then we let Frank Will develop.

If that were to happen, IMO we'd have to trade Eisley...
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
