It's amazing how people love to take things out of context. It wasn't what Lampe is today, it's what his value was back when he was traded and the overall package that he was in that was traded away.

That trade was like the Titanic putting it into reverse and then going full speed ahead again into the same iceberg.

are you sure they were trying to justify the marbury trade?. anyway do know what the sad part is? If lampe were on this team he'd probably be getting decent minutes, everyone on this team gets minutes, even the scrubs, that's the current state of this team.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just because knick fans held him in high degree doesn't mean other teams or scouts did. Remember he was supposed to be a lottery pick and fell to the 2nd round. Who really knew what his trade value was. Its easy to 2nd guess every move after the fact.

Well, it seems with you that hindsight is a valid assesment tool when trades or parts of trades don't work out for us. When they do it's back to what their value was at the time of the trade.

In his mind he was an All-Star. Oh well. I remember when there was a movement started on this or Knicks4life that was trying to get him voted into the all-star game.
