i am totally disappointed in the pace of development, but i must say this team has a ton of good players and potential. i think they're set at center (curry, butler) and power forward (frye, lee); potentially set at small forward (woods, ariza); have a great shooting guard playing the point (marbury); and a bunch of good swingmen off the bench (crawford, nate, quentin). i would think that with some maturing (didn't realize it would take so long) and the addition of a pass-first guard this team will be great for a long time...maybe i'm just too optimistic, but look at the ages: ariza, 20 butler, 20 crawford, 25 curry, 23 frye, 22 lee, 22 quentin, 25 nate, 21 woods, 24 marbury, 28
of course quentin's injury issues make him a question mark but he's not a key piece anyhow. i think the knicks just need that pass-first guard, move marbs to the '2' and then run out curry, frye, ariza or woods with a great bench of crawford, lee, nate, quentin, butler. season with a couple veteran guys and the knicks are in business.
maybe i'm crazy but this team seems solid to me.
