"The NBA is investigating a complaint by the Magic that the New York Knicks used an inactive player in Friday night's game at Madison Square Garden, club sources told The Sentinel," writes Brian Schmitz of the ORLANDO SENTINEL. "The Magic say that the active roster that Coach Brian Hill and his staff received from the Knicks before the game had forward Jackie Butler listed as inactive. Teams have up to an hour before game-time to identify and submit their active and inactives."

This is just a poor loser like Hill and the Magic crying foul because they lost, they didn't get the calls, especially when Hill didn't like the traveling call at the end of the game when replays clearly showed the call was correct.

Well, Butler was decisive in the Knicks win, so I guess the complaint is legit.

hill may have an argument here. i'm not sure what would happen because of this but, on Jan. 8 Butler was placed on the inactive list. And i didnt see anywhere that is said he was activated since then unless it was done prior to the game.

I don't see why Butler would have been on the IL anyways with Big Game sitting out with the neckbrace, Davis still out with the suspension, Ariza being demoted, and Penny still God knows where.

With Davis suspended, I believe we can only have 11 active.
