I feel like larry can only complain about having sub-par talent for so long. There have been games where it was clearly evident that the Knicks talent is inferior to that of a lot of teams in this league, but that can't be used as an excuse in a great number of games this year including the loss last night. Another point that baffles me is that larry has long been held as THE premier coach in the last 2 minutes of a game. But there have been a great number of games this year that he failed to control tempo or to position his players to make plays late in games. He also seems to have no concept of the psychological part of the game becaus it seems he has mind F*C*ED most of his players and broken any confidence they might have had. Players dont seem to have any idea as to their roles on the team. I dont expect larry to be able to carry an inferior roster past the pistons or spurs. But a hall of fame coach should put his players in a position to consistenly beat some of the lower tier teams in this league. So how much longer until we can reasonably accept the fact that Larry isnt the same coach he has been in years past.

I gotcha. I just feel like if a coach changes things up as much as larry does, what confidence can you have in him if he doesnt even have confidence in himself? From a coach as great as larry is supposed to be i expected more from this team. Maybe not a full overhaul, but I didnt think Dolan would still be pushin a pinto.

I know they are not going to fire him, it would make them look too bad so they're between a rock and a hard place!! LB is/was a great coach but he's not doing the job of a great coach with this team at this time. This is/may be a flawed team but they should have a better won/loss record.

as far as firing larry- if they want him gone, I'm sure he can 'retire'.
We might hold Larry accountable for the poor record & we might wonder why he has the ream run plays out of time outs with Malik Rose as the low post option resulting in a turn over or bad shot-
the fact is the man has to watch it and it has to grate on him big time.
Ulcer? Irritable Bowel Syndrome?
If the knicks are playing like this next year, and they don't turn it around this year, then I can see either Isiah (if he's around) or Dolan having a talk with Brown and saying how it would be ok for him to retire, they'd come to some monetary arrangement.
