were going to sck. We dont have the defensive back line people to compensate for their drastic inconsistent play. Its not going to magically change next year or the year after that etc... they are who they are. How do you win with putrid wing players and no defenders in the backline----other teams know they can beat us before the game starts. we have nothing to fall back upon--the only reliable player is Marbury, but hes really not the type of player who makes other players better. he plays a good game individually.

Were in the middle of the ocean without a paddle--does anyone really think otherwise-were up ****s creek. Its a dissapointing position to be, because in the cyclical nBA it could bE YEARS upon YEARS before we see different--because we dont own any pick that could bring in an impact player.

marbury has been our rock. he has been tremendous since the orlando incident.

but it looks like craw is taking on more and more pg responsibilities. with steph back last night, craw ran the show for a majority of the night. he had 10 assists and 0 turnovers. his shooting will take a hit as he now is in a position to create for himself, and that usually results in some ill-advised jumpers or weak runners in the lane. it's not a catch and shoot (where he's more effective) b/c our bigs have no concept of passing out of the box. he gets me so frustrated with those BS runners in the lane but outside of that, his role is changing on the team. he's not the sg anymore. he's more the pg.

what killed us and threw us off was q1 giving us absolutely nothing. it shifted the whole plan out of wack and as a result, nate had to start at the sg (and he did a good job for a rookie there).

with that said, we have SO many holes and it's going to take some really smart and shrewd moves to help us get out of it. along with hoping lb gets through to some of these guys and they develop.

I agree. The NBA has changed. The wing players are just as important as the bigs. Look at NJ and the bigs they are winning with. Look at Denver after Camby went out. They changed the rules so wing players arent just shooters anymore. These guys operate in space because rules say you cant handcheck. Q doesnt play like I remember him playing 2-3 years ago. I can only assume its his back. Crawford is a good bench player IMO but he's not a good PG and our other options there are have been terrible.

I must have not been paying attention to the game last night. Was Craw running the team or just initiating the offense? I thought Marb had the ball in his hands a lot.

I thing Marbs played point about 2/3 of the time he was on the floor and was spelled the rest of the time so that he can be off the ball. Craw will get more time as he gets better but he still isn't there yet. He had a couple inane shots last night.

i'm not sure which is which the bulk of the 2nd half had craw bringing the ball across the time line with steph running off screens on the baseline.

I'm watching the 2nd half right now. J Craw was the PG as Marbs was on the bench and when he came back in J Craw brought it up(probably to take pressure off Marbs) but when he crossed half court the offense is definitely going through Marbs.

JCraw still has a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot of work to do to learn the PG position. A loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot of work. But he is getting better and as he does he will allow Marbs to play off the ball more, conserve energy, and it will help our team.

how dare you try to defend yourself with actual footage...

We need to bench, dump, or execute Q1 and Malik. Put all of the responsibility on the players who actually bring it at least half the time. Make them grow into their roles and build confidence again. We need an answer at the 3. Whether that is QWoods continuing to improve or Jalen Rose coming in from TO, I don't care. Just get it done and stick to the rotation.

That's my point about set rotations. QWoods has been a problem child his entire career and now is attempting to rebound and play D and show his enormous potential. This is because he has to earn his minutes. We should continue to do the same with all our rookies.

I do not understand. Our captain goes out for 3 games. Our team basically quits in those three and we want to reward them with guaranteed minutes??????????? I'm so confused as to how this helps us. With the defense Frye plays and the inconsistent rebounding, to be honest he is lucky he is such a good shooter and we are such a bad team or else he would never be on the court!!!!!!!!!!!!

Without Malik in the game last night Brad Miller was standing in one spot, not moving and still getting open shots. Malik was not the reason we lost last night.

Anyone notice that all our guys seem to have their best games immediately after a benching?

The day that our team no longer needs to be benched to be motivated, that is the day you will see a set rotation. Not before.
