IF he comes back and proves he can stay healthy for the rest of the year, would you guys do this:

mo taylor + spurs #1 for boozer on a draft night deal

this is based on the assumption that we have NO interest in shedding cap...

I love Boozer and I would say no....we have a PF of the future in Frye...now if it was a deal for Deron Williams.....

Mo Taylor and Nate and a 2nd for Deron, Harpring

it's very clear that you need 3 players to rotate at the PF/C spot to be successful. with AD expiring, we need a tough, defensive, rugged PF/C type to replace him as the frye/curry combo is as bad as you can get defensively.

But is Boozer better defensively...I would rather draft someone like Josh Boone than get Boozer who wants to be a main man and not part of a "rotation'. Also neither Frye or Boozer can play that swing center/pf spot. Ratliff would be a better short term fit for that.

Sloan complained about his ability to play D. NY should really target solid defenders.

Boozer is by no means a solid defender.

we'd be giving them major cap relief and giving up a pick?

No Thanks!

What has boozer played since signing his deal? Between Curry, Frye & Lee (and don't forget about Jackie Butler), I think we are set at the 4.

now that we have Frye, there's no sense in trading for a high priced PF w/a longterm contract... Mo T is fine coming off the bench in a reserve role... we don't need Boozer taking up cap space just to come off the bench (assuming Channing Frye will eventually take over the starting role)

if Frye could play the 3, then a deal like this might make more sense... i'd sooner try to trade for a guy like Kenyon Martin, who you could play at the 3 if needbe since he's athletic enough to guard quicker SF's.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I would say no. Boozer is always hurt and with Frye here taking on that long-term contract doesn't make much sense as TMS alluded to.

We have power forwards coming out of our ears. We need swing men who can hit a jumper and play defense.
