Is the proposed deal that would bring Jalen Rose to the Knicks a good one? Given the impact rose would make on the team (both good and bad) is this a good deal, or is it more of the same old same old?

I voted yes because I think the only person that has a viable risk to get his minutes cut is Nate. Jalen will play the two here IMO.

I say get rose simply becuase things couldnt possible get any worse from what they already are.

If the deal doesn't include Mike James and the 1st rd pick, you're right. Otherwise, I'd disagree. We'd be getting the best players in the deal, including a great role player for many years in James and a 1st rd pick.

I can see where you can form that opinion, jones, but i look at it differently...If we pull this trade, we get a 1st round pik and a better player.....at the cost of money. If we do this we can quite possibly have 6 guys (at least) 24 and younger on this roster, another two or three between 25 and 28.

He is rebuilding as he is trying to stay afloat. Granted the team isn't really staying afloat. But even if we do this trade it is not reverting to the old win now pay later philosophy we had.

mike james wont be around for many years. if he keeps playing the way he has been playing he will command more than the MLE.

yes- assuming we're getting a first round pick- and why does this mean we're cutting back rookies minutes?

I would see this as cutting into Q's minutes- and I don't see that as a bad thing...

we almost have to do this if we get the pick
- that would mean though that
1) we'd have to trade Lee or Ariza
- one or the other will not play with Rose on the team

2) we'd have to let Antonio expire
- we have to at least dump some salary this year

If Q ever gets going I could see us getting on a roll with this trade, if not we'll just be marginally better with Rose.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
