BOB FINNAN, Morning Journal Writer July 27, 2002

A Western Conference source said yesterday the Cavs were ready to trade point guard Andre Miller to the Los Angeles Clippers in a three-team trade.
According to rumors, Miller would go to the Clippers for forwards Darius Miles and Harold Jamison.

Clippers owner Donald T. Sterling originally nixed a deal with the Cavs, but Clippers general manager Elgin Baylor and the coaching staff reportedly convinced Sterling to make the deal. Miller, 26, led the NBA in assists last season at 10.9 per game.

Miles, 20, averaged 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Clippers last season. Jamison averaged 2.2 points in 25 games for the Clippers last season.

This is exciting because it quite possibly is the Knicks. Its no secret Layden has been working non-stop to get his Utah Boys Andre Miller and Doleac.

I'm thinking that the Nuggets are the 3rd team.

I think the deal will be as follows:

Dre Miller to the Clipps
James Posey and Darius Miles to the Cavs
Ricky Davis to the Nuggets

Of course, filler reqd

It can't be the Knicks...we all knew this was gonna go down without any NY involvment anyway, why kid ourselves about the issue? Miller will be a clip, and they are gonna kick a-s-s next year...

Yea i agree. That makes a lot of sense. BTW all teams get what they need. Cavs really improve IMO. They have Dajuan at the 1 already so they trade Dre to LAC for perhaps the next KG and an athletic young SF. The Clipps obviously do this deal bc they get Dre Miller and they already have a star SF in Lamar Odom. And the Nuggets deff get wat they want in the deal w/ Ricky Davis. However, this trade could turn out to being a GREAT trade fot the Cavs bc if Darius turns out to be the star hes supposed to be...the clipps get screwed.

no way the clips get screwed...miller's already a star, miles could be huge but they have odom...id rather have odom and miller than miles and odom cuz they both cant play together.

That trade worked for all parties involved. I believe that now we need to discuss what the Knicks are going to do about the PG situation we are in right now... Any intelligent ideas?
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
