According to Rick Bonnell of THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, "Friday, Gerald Wallace's nickname became a bit too accurate. They call him "Crash," and that's to convey his daring, not his condition. Then, midway through the third quarter, the Charlotte Bobcats forward jumped for a rebound and felt his left knee buckle inward. The results are ominous -- a sprain that will keep him out at least four to six weeks."

I don't want to hear about how we should have acquired this guy anymore, he is way to fragile and I'm glad the Knicks didn't throw any money at him. The guy just can't stay healthy.

The amount of games Wallace has played each season.
01-02: 54
02-03: 47
03-04: 37
04-05: 70
Average: 52 games a season. Not worth throwing Mid-Level money for a guy to play that little.

We had no way to get him for the MLE because he was a RESTRICTED free agent but he's as good and talented a player as you could dream of for the MLE. There's nothing wrong with 70 games last year.

Im glad he was restricted. Don't want any part of him. For all the leaping ability and defensive ability he might have, you can only do that if your suiting up.

Those other years he had a lot of DNP-CDs; it had nothing to do with injury. The 70 games last year is about what I'd expect from him in most seasons.

unlike the amount of play we have gotten from the guys we DID throw Mid-Level money at.

I thought Jerome played fairly decent on Thursday in limited minutes and might have been his best game as a Knick. If a fairly decent game is your MLEs best game as a Knick by halfway through the season, we have problems.
