With Marbury out, Crawford and Nate just can't start at the same time. It's got to either be Craw and Q with Craw at the point, or Nate and Q, b/c for the defensive purposes. We were terribly exposed last night.

Channing played pretty decent last night. He's learned the defense better. I don't care how everyone else played (Well I do) but he played it good but the rest of the team overwhelmingly got desroyed.

If it weren't for him and David Lees rebounding, we would have been blown out right from the beginning, but we were still in it until midway in the second. I don't care what people say about excuses, this team needs Marbury. The players and coaches and Isiah shouldn't whine about it, but it's the harsh reality.

What I learned was that neither Craw or Nate are starters. And neither is Lee.

But didn't you hear? We started 3 rookies last night so we're obviously going to be a championship contender soon.

Lee is not a starter yet, but he's the best we got at that position, and at least he works his butt off and gets boards and has developed that J of his. Nate SHOULDN'T be starting, and Craw is clearly best suited as the 6th man. I think Marbury and Nate starting is fine for now though. We could use that Mike James type of player though.

I'm in agreement here. Both Crawford and Nate seem perfect off the bench type players. Spark plugs that would ignite the offense. I think that Nate is OK on D, but his height kills him, and especially considering the Knicks have no interior defense, Nate is more exposed.

Crawford on the other hand is just a siv plain and simple. I've seen his effort when a pick is set or when an offensive player takes the first step - and the effort is just not there.

This team does not need Mike James! James is 6'1. The backcourt is small enough. Nate 5'9, Craw 6'5 but he's 49 lbs saking wet. We need a legit 6'6 sg who can play D, attempt the fight through a screen, and make some open shots

With the effort and enhancement of his game, I like Lee starting. He plays both ends of the court. My biggest gripe is he doesn't shoot ENOUGH. Unbelievable really. There are a couple of lapses on D where his man is shooting a wide open 3 pointer, but I attribute that to defending a new position and the overall team defense (no rotations or help).

Crawford has made good progress and I expect more from him. Its going to be peeks and valleys. I also think its at least a year with a guy like LB before they really become an LB type player

I have not seen James enough to give some concrete examples, but the word on him is that he is a defensive terror. 6'1" or 6'6", I don't care, just give the Knicks 1 player who can defend on the perimeter.

Lee is fine starting for THIS team. But if the Knicks want to move forward, they need a legit SF who can defend, and can put the ball on the floor and create his own shot. Knicks need an allstar calliber SF plain and simple if they want to contend in the east. Theres this rumor that theres an boarder line allstar Sf available....
