It's not about Ariza,Lee,Robinson,Crawford(who can be great off the bench on a winning team...But in the end, Isiah will get it done...Watch for Al Harrington in a Knick uniform next year...You heard it here first...The guy loves Isiah and wants to be in NY...Free Agent next year..He wont be in Atlanta next year...They are not paying him and Joe Johnson..

why would we want harrington. just another all offense no defense player.

So you prefer Lee at the 3 than Harrington?

not really.. i would prefer a defensive minded player though. i doubt harrington signs for the MLE.

You can teach an athele to play defense....You can't teach him to score

One more thing about Isiah, for what ever reason it is, players love him and want to play for him. Jamiane O'niel was highly upset when Isiah wa dismissed from Indiana..He said he would not have resigned if he knew Isiah would not be there...Harrington wants to play for Isiah..Webber was dying to come to NY....Sheed wanted to play for the Khick after Isiah got here...I mean that has to count for something that players at least respect and want to come to NY to play for the guy.....

blah blah blah excuse excuse rhetoric rhetoric a little more blah some yadayadayada

the bottom line--- we need a PF/C who can play defense we need a lengthy athletic wing and a guard with length and a back up PG

one of either Q rich OR Jamal HAS to be GONE.

now go get me
Rodney Carney
Hilton Armstrong
Josh Childress
Marcus Williams

and then we can slog it while they mature:>)

Wonder if those players still want to come to Knicks now that Brown is on the sidelines. Most of the Olympic team hated him

who would atlanta take for al harington?, heh I bet he winds up with the bulls, they have the assets to acquire him, becuase their gm didnt throw it all away. remember we're the knicks, the only talent we can get is questionable flawed talent, and rejects. harington is too rich for our blood.

maybe, but the bulls can offer harrington more than other teams. its all about the money for him at this stage of his career.

AS stated in an earlier posting:It would have to be few sml contracts as Altanta has no interest offering Harrington any money...So maybe Lee,Robinson, maybe Taylor expiring contract after next year...Maybe Ariza before the deadline..Remember, they traded Rasheed to Detroit for nothing..

here's the problem, taylor makes too much money, and lee/nate/ariza, make to little. If atlanta really is dead set against signing him and is afraid of losing him for nothing, then I think there is a better deal they could get besides our youngsters, even if their salaries did match.

They made a run at Micheal Redd,Ray Allen and a few others that didn't immediately come to mind..

They had no interest...It's true that they have more money to play with...But I just can't see Harrington signing with Chicago with that team's makeup...They win games off hustle and hard play not talent....I just don't see why a free agent would want to sign into a pressing system with no real chance of going deep into the playoffs...It's difference if your already on the team like Allen and Redd...But newly signed free agent to Chicago....not sure about that..

Taylor has one year after this left on his contract....His salary would would match the kind of money that Harrington would be seeking....U can toss in one of the young guys to make them happy...But Taylor's contract at the end of the year is very doable...
