forget any stats, the league has caught up with Mr Frye. Hes a jumpshooter with a very limited post game and porous defense. hes going to have to have to expand his post game and concentrate on playing better D.

By the way, I dont remember any Knick team getting just blown out so many times in one year so badly and we are not even half way through. Just disgraceful, embarrassing basketball. Like watching North Carolina against Fordham. thank heavans for that 6 game winning streak or all heck would be breaking lose. Now they can say we dont have marbury for a few games, you know the excuse thing.

I think the biggest problem is that for some strange reason frye has lost all confidence in jump shot, anyway I still like what Ive seen from him, hopefully those hook shots will start to fall more frequently soon. but I think your right that the league has caught up with him , I think he finally hit the rookie wall people were talking about, but Im still optimistic about him though. one reason I think why his scoring is down is becuase he has been taking less jumpshots and has been doing other things.

I was trying to watch the D for the Knicks in this game, and it does start with the perimeter D and the siv that it is. Curry doesn't know squat about rotating and that leaves Frye to pick up the loose straps. But man ,Crawford just waves them by, I don't understand it because the guy is ultra quick. Just stay in front of your man, it's like he doesn't even try.

4th game in 5 nights, no Marbury, best team in the entire NBA, etc... guys, I think we might be overreacting here.

That may well be, but the Knicks should have gotten a win or two during this stretch. They could have won last night [Bulls game] and they could have made this game a bit more respectable.

He hasn't been getting many minutes lately. Larry is breaking him down, like he did with Marbury, in order to get him to become more of a two way player.

You can't possibly blame Frye for this team's defensive woes, it's a team effort or lack thereof, Frye's not the only one missing assignments, this team has lost focus again.

Blame the team as a whole, not one player.

the only bad game in this streak was the Toronto one. that loss was much worse than this one.

Briggs, despite loving the guy, you know I've been just as critical as anyone about him. But with that being said, I really think his defense has been getting better the 3 or 4 games. I thought he defended against Garnett solidly, and today I thought he play RaWeed pretty good. He scored some points, despite Frye playing tough on him. He's getting better in that aspect. It wasn't his fault that Crawford had one of the worst defensive games you could imagine. Absolutely putrid.

Horrible game for the whole team, overall.

Channing Frye is a bust. And Jamal Crawford is the best midrange jump shooter in the NBA.

maybe Tom can give us a detailed statistical analysis detailing how and why Channing and the Knicks actually had a good game.

The whole team does suck at D and Crawford is one of the main offenders! He never defends his man he always let's them blow by. He doesn't even try to defend them. He just lets them blow into the lane.
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

i'm pretty sure tom was being facetious there... just pointing out how quickly opinions change around here when a player has a bad game stretch.

what i notice out of Channing is that he's become gunshy... he's not letting his jumpers go the way he was earlier in the season... not quite sure what the sudden lack of confidence in his shot was caused by... maybe a carryover from the bad game he had against the Mavs when he went 3-11 shooting? the games after his shooting percentage is way down... hopefully he gets his shot back again... we all know how talented he is & how smooth that ball looks when he's on.

I doubt it. His statistical analyses have always been informative and reasonable. Why do you dislike it so much and start mocking the poster when they rely on BOTH stats and direct observation of the game?

The reason Channing is struggling is because he has lost his confidence. How many shots did he pass up in Chicago? Playing for Larry Brown isnt easy especially when your a rookie.

Why do you have 6800 when most are unrelated to basketball and are just attacks on anyone who questions rather than worships your basketball views?
