Never really dawned on me till watching the Knicks playe the pistons how strange this mix is. Starting five

Nate 22
Craw 25
Frye22
Curry 23
Lee 22

All young, and full of potential. Then Larry brings in second unit

JJ 29
Taylor 29 (not sure)
Qrich 25
Ariza 20
Rose 30 ?

The second unit is full of overpaid journeymen (bums) who can't be moved, and Ariza who is young but doesn't have nearly as much potential as the first unit. This team is cuaght at a fork in the road. Doesn't know if it wants be young or veteran driven. The problem is, it seems as if withthe exception of Curry (and he's a big maybe) none of the youth seem to have potential to be a superstar (there are no 19 yr old Kobe's or Garnetts here.) And the veterans aren't that good (there are no 33-34 yr old Pippens here who could serve as the final piece to a championship.)

In a nut shell, the youth are good not great and the veterans are average at best.
"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

yeah, what Elite said.

And to add a little more to what he said -- name a team that had so many "green players" that made the playoffs

Take your time.

If the Knicks had a SG with a reliable outside shot they would be a lot better.

Yes. If Marbs played tonight, we would have lost by 50. If he played last night, AD would have been too distracted by his scowl to notice his wife's tiff in the stands. The only reason Q shot well against Chicago was because Marbury was too concerned over his shoulder to bother replacing Q's pain meds with a sugar pill that night.

Trade Marbury and let Craw run this team. Craw is a much better point.
