5 games... hmmmm... my question is was there a player in the detroit situation that just went into the stands and did nothing??? if so how much did he get suspended... Davis punishment should be less than whatever that was due to circumstances but theres no way davis would get off with 1 game or none at all u would have to be ignoring everything that happenedl ast year to truely believe that was gunna happen

CHICAGO -- New York Knicks forward Antonio Davis was suspended for five games by the NBA on Thursday for climbing into the stands to confront a man during a game in Chicago the previous night.

This should mean that Butler gets activated, Frye should start, but LB will most likely have Taylor start.

Frye should be starting no matter what he LB thinks of his game, this team is going no where, so why not start him. LB needs to stop messing with him and just start Frye, the kid needs burn time to get better with his game.

that's way too much, the guy was completely calm watching out for his family. At most they should've suspended him one or two games, but five is ridiculous. He thought his wife was in trouble, he wasn't fighting with a fan.

I watched the vid as well. There was no anger, no damaging intent, I think this is way too much. A trophy 1 game would have been enough.

Also, is it just me, or does anyonre else HATE when people come out with things like "I don't feel comfortable if players are allowed to easily jump into the crowd whenever they feel like it's necessary". The tone of those words just smacks of upperclass BS. Not comfortable? Most people arent comfortable with their wives dealing with threatening strangers stinking of beer! Can't handle your entertainment, go home.

Jeez, I assume this guy wants all bball games played as cage matches. Yeah, that would make him comfortable. Get the fnck outa here!!!

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and ask why not?

That's terrible; one game and a nice fine would have been enough. Even so, he was doing it to protect his family, not popping someone

i think one game would have been fine if the brawl last year never happened... but the league had to make a statement

yea, but its just to set an example that players can not, no matter what, go into the stands during a game.

What if his family was sitting in the front row and he went over and did what he did, is that a suspendable offense too?

This penalty is too much, but this is the result of the aftermath of the Detroit brawl, you just can't go into the stands regardless of what you think was happening to a family member or what they may be doing.
His wife should've waved Security over if she had a problem with another fan, not take it into your own hands, we all need to excercise more control and mature behavior no matter what is happening.

Too bad they couldn't have suspended him until the trade deadline
