With Marbury out, Brown talked to Penny Hardaway yesterday about the possibility of rejoining the team. Hardaway is rehabbing his legs in Houston after a strength test showed weakness in his legs. Brown said he's not ready. Meanwhile, Brown revealed Trevor Ariza has practiced at PG.

It sounds like this is more than just a practice exercise--he would seem to be our third option at PG right now.

He can hawk the ball. Nate Rob should be practicing at PG too....

I meant while Marbury is out Ariza is our third option at PG which is pretty scary.

I support this. Most great teams have a point foward and if Trevor can become one, it's just a step up.

Most teams have a small forward too...if Ariza can't even become a reliable SF you know there is no way he can become a "point forward".

Rebounding, passing, man to man defense. Don't give me that Ben Gordon shot last night as an arguement b/c he actually played him really well. That was just a great shot and any other time during the game, the coach would have yelled the crap out of him for taking it.

Brown obviously is planning for when the defense forces the ball out of Marbury or Crawford's or Nates hands and the next in line has to play PG. All the wing players should be able to be PG for a play or two when the need warrants..

Trevor is not a good passer. Why do so many people say that.
I've seen him throw so many out of bounds, or difficult to handle.

When they drafted him they believed he would be a player that could play the 1, 2 and 3

"Man to man defense" - I hope that was a joke. Ariza has good instincts off the ball in anticipating steals, but I think he is the worst on ball defender on the team.

I second that. Yikes. If Azira becomes point, we should move to the NCAA.

If Ariza wants point he's going to have to beat out Jerome James to get it.

I would love to see him go to the D-league and get his act together.
