I'm trying to remember was it ever this dead in the NBA trade wise? The only trade being talked about is Blount for Olowokandi. I know everyone is waiting on artest, but every GM can't think he can get him. Is there something else going on?

I think once Artest is moved, there will be tons of moves. Possibly more moves than we've ever seen before. There are still six long weeks til the trade deadline.

the problem is that barring 3-4 teams, every other team in the league sucks. everyone is around the .500 mark, and those that are under .500 still have a shot for the playoffs so nobody is panicking. there were alot of moves and signings this summer and i would say about 95% of them have not yielded any positive results. so until someone panics or gets desperate, i'm not sure how much will happen. i do believe the days of the max contract players being traded may soon be over.

Most trades are never anticipated in trade rumors and most trade rumors never happen. There may be a number of things being talked about and planned that will come about irregardless of what (if anything) happens to Artest.

But, has it been this dead. Has there been one trade this Season?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks had an eye out on a sf like Wally (Who I would love) or maybe Mike James (I would welcome with open arms) but other than that, I wouldn't be shocked if Isiah just let the contracts burn. Actually, I wouldn't be all that surprised to see A Davis burn and then re sign for another year or so.

i have absolutely ZERO faith in isiah at the trading deadline. i have NO CLUE what he is going to do with this team. it's really scary b/c before you know it, theo ratliff and jalen rose could be knicks. we'll see what happens over the next month.

I don't have any faith in Isiah himself, but I think Brown has a bit of a better grip on how to handle this stuff and would deny any dumb trade Isiah would have up his sleeve. With that being said, Brown still LOVES his vets.

I could have sworn some clever poster mentioned Wally and you simply laughed at the idea

I don't think he's going to go crazy. I think he'll try to move James and QRich and maybe look for something with the expiring deals. The core isn't going anywhere.

I told you I was busting your balls. I've been saying we need a go to shooter for quite sometime now. Frye is good but he's not enough. We need a guard or small foward who can be a consistent 18 to 22 point threat from the perimeter.

I knew you were joking around but I thought you were serious about the part where you said you didn't think we could get Wally.

I'm not sure if I trust Brown either. This is the same guy that wanted Eric Snow and Theo Ratliff.

The funny thing about that is the teams are still not sure if they will do it, lol......

I think teams are just playing hardball. No team wants to look like they got served.

It's so bad that the Wizards bought out Atkins rather than make a much needed trade......how syupid was that?

I was serious. That doesn't mean the Knicks wouldn't want him or offer the Wolves something. Bigbeast, I never said I don't trust Brown. I just said he loves his vets and that's what he would go for if in charge.
