At some point Larry has to find a way to make this team get past the zone. Teams are soon going to figure out that to shut down our offense all they have to do is play zone for the whole game.

When this team obtains a shooter guard/sf who can stretch the zone is when they will play well against it. I hope Isiah is scouring for a good shooter that we can obtain in a trade so that Larry can bring him off the bench and stretch the zone a bit. Dammit Q, this was SUPPOSED to be your job.

You would think at some point Q would snap out of his slump, but it hasn't happen yet. Even TT was able to snap out of his slump. When we played the Suns they had asked Marion why he thinks Q was not hitting his shots. Marion said something along the lines of, On the Suns if Q was not hot they would keep on feeding him the ball until he got his shots down. like if he shot 1-4 on the Suns there would be a point where Q would be able to recover by getting more attempts. However if he goes 1-4 on the Knicks he might be done for the night.

Maybe Larry could try Q and Jamal in the backcourt at the same time. This will give Q a chance to play more up tempo ball. Which is more Q's stlye of play. Hopefully he will be able to get his confidence back.

We can't afford to waste possessions feeding him like that. Phoenix has like a million possesions a game because they shoot it whenever, with 23 seconds on the shot clock. Knicks run a half court offense, we can't afford to do that for him. We need a shooter who doesn't need 8 shots to get going.

q1 is tim thomas from last year. last year, crawford had to make up for tim's lack of production (as well as h20's injury). this year, nate has to. imagine we didn't have nate? we'd be in even bigger trouble. nate shouldn't be starting and it's a shame he has to b/c q1 is giving us JACK.

Tim thomas was still hitting those threes at a high percentage. AND he would hit some clutch ones too even when he had a bad game.

Q1 is just missing everything. His percentages suck.

qrich actually shot the ball pretty well today, but knowing him he'll start shooting poorly again tommorow. anyway you dont necesarily need 3 pt shooters to beat the zone, there are other ways, but I forgot what they were.

I don't know DJ. Q's been bad. What I thought we were getting was Timmy, at least on offense. Thomas, lazy and all, was actually a high percentage 3-pt. shooter, and had a nice post-up game. Q has neither going for him, but to my surprise and to his credit, he actually plays a little D and is a pretty good rebounder. Q's post-up game is completely non-existent though. Don't know who I'd rather have...Probably Q, back problems and all...

TT atleast was dropping like 12 a game and atleast Tim had some 25 plus games. I can't even see Q getting like 17 points in one game this year. Q not having his shot maybe the main reason we were losing in the begining besides the crazy rotations.

Huh? Sure, they had some trouble with the zone, but the Knicks offense was fine. They scored 103 points. The problem was defense. They let the Raptors score 129 points.

The Knicks won't win many games letting the other team score 129.

The blowout started with the zone. The Raptors switched to man after the game was clearly over.

The team's defense sucked lastnight. Point blank. I didn't get a chance to see the game but in looking at the score that has got to be the case. I know LB is going off on dudes today at practice.

Watching QRich run it always looks like his back is hurting. His stride is very stiff as though he is tightening up his back so as not to hurt it.

The way their defense hs been the better question is 'When will this team learn it has to play zone?"

I agree Q is in a slump, but Im going to go even futher and say, he's just not for this offense. Qs primary offensive move was never just the the 3 or the long jumper. He was one of the more versatile guard/foward in the league, with a serious post up game. playing for the suns has trapped him in to a perimeter mind set. And the whole role for him has got to be confusing as sh.. because they just don't know how to use him or when.
