Google video (http://video.google.com) allows users to buy any NBA game this season for $3.95 and stream it off their servers. They have the Sonics game and the Cavs game up on their main page. I just bought the Knicks vs. Sonics game this morning and I cannot wait to watch it.
Review: There is a reason why this system is in BETA. The order didnt come through right away. Infact, I had to wait close to an hour before I could actually watch it on the google video player. The stream is extremely choppy at original size. The feed hiccups almost every 5 seconds. Its even worse at full screen. Right now I am waiting for the file to load off the server into the player. Its not a typical stream cause I can let it load into the player. There has to be a way to download it raw without contraints. At half size the video is extremely smooth and clear too. This is my first time using it for a heavy duty file. I give 5/5 for that review. Google doesn't give the outcome before you watch, do they?

Oh man I was at El Rio Grande with a friend knocking back margaritas and yelling "WTF" when it came on!!

I kinda figured out what the problem is. I checked CPU usage when the player hiccups and its at 100%. I'm gonna try and wait for the license to come through on the browser and check to see if it plays better in there. For now, all google videos play flawlessly in the browser. Hopefully, I can watch Knick games there too.
Posted by Mac:No, they dont announce the outcome but I just came across a big problem. All their offered NBA games end after the 3rd quarter. The Knick Game ended 1 minute into the 4th. This is not good. I'm going to email google and the nba about this. I'm almost sure their response will be something like, the service is in BETA, here is your money back. In all fairness, google has always had bugs in their brand new services. It really is the reason why its still in BETA. They probably just need a couple of months to fix this. I asked about a technical problem on google groups and I got a response from a very irate user. Even if you can get it to play at ANY size, your game will finish by A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
