Looking at the schedules of the Knicks chief competition, Knicks have a shot to slid into the 8th seed by feb 4.

Starting Jan 31, Bulls, who are currently the 8th seed, go on a killer 7 game west coast trip. Boston, during that same time will have some tough games aswell, and if they move Pierce, there done. Even if they keep Pierce, by the time Feb 4 arrives, they may have as much as 27 losses.

Orlando and Washington are up and down (more down than up right now).

So i'm predicting 8th seed by feb 4th. Too optimistic?

Way too optimistic. We're 2 games out, but we're in 12th place and there are 4 other teams on the fringe with us. We're two straight losses from this thing going the other way again. One game at a time.
