Crawford has most of the tools to be an elite scorer in this league. He can shoot (although he's a bit streaky but what scorers aren't streaky peremiter shooters) has a scorer's mentality, and most importantly he has the handle to get to wherever he needs to go on the court.

His ballhandling skills are the key. Most of the elite wing players in this league are effective because they are not restricted to a certain area on the court. (Kobe, Vince, Tmac, Lebron, Etc) have the handle manuever and take the defense where they want to go and get the shot (they) want not the shot the defense is giving all the time. Other than strength and Athleticism (he's athletic but not like the elite wing players), Jamal has the tools to be a 20-plus per game scorer, he just need to be more consistant.

Theres only a handfull of players that can actually drop 31 in a half like he did. That was an amazing performance. But then he followed that performance with 3-4 sraigth games without cracking double-digits in pts and one of them he had a goose-egg. Thats whats most frustrating about Jamal.

Hopefully, this winning streak which coupled with Jamals solid play in two-straigth games will be a spring board to more consistant play. Not that he has to score 20 plus every game, but you can't drop 31 then score 5.

thats right a lot of scorers are streaky but when their shot isn't falling they do other things like play defense, rebound & pass the ball. Crawford has been doing those things lately..its great to see! And its great when he takes over in games!

oh guns, I would agree with you normally but Craw looked like a siv at the end of the Dallas game. Does he EVER get over a pick?

yeah you're right. He's just so skinny. He'll always struggle with contact. Are you refering to the Dirk missed 3 at the end of regulation. Our hearts stopped on that one because he got a pretty good look and Dirk is one of those guys who when they shoot you feel it's going in every time.

I feel the same way about Frye at this point which says something. When he puts up the J, I feel its going in everytime.

I started to say this but I knew I would draw DJ's ire. But WTF?!? Those uncontested layups almost lead to our demise.

his consistency is tied to his health. Its not secret he was on the shelf for the two games.. those 3-4 games, you could see him limping. The key for Jamal is his body. Once he gets stronger.. he'll be more consistent.

the guys that got to the hoop were jason terry and devin harris.

crawford was guarding josh howard.

msg is now going all out on a jamal for 6th man of the year campaign.

I will be reviewing the game tape tonight, to investigate this claim, but I was under the impression it was Jamal.
