I thought an "F" was the absolute lowest grade?

New York — F-
Larry is losing it. As an administrator, Isiah never had it. Eddy Curry and Jerome James have too much of it packed around their waists. Stephon Marbury swears he has it but doesn't. Jamal Crawford doesn't know where or what it is. Quentin Richardson left it in Steve Nash's hands. Antonio Davis lost it years ago. Both Channing Frye and Trevor Ariza thought they had it, but Brown took it away from them. Nate Robinson is too ****y to see that that what he thinks is it isn't. Later rather than sooner, however, enough of those involved will get enough of it to play well enough to keep the MSG boo birds at bay. If only there weren't so many worms in what used to be the Big Apple's showcase franchise

Rosen is a bitter old man who never made it to the NBA as a player or a coach, so he can stand any team, especially the Knicks.

this kind of reminds me of that "no cure for the steph infection" article, pure, concentrated, undiluted hatred.

We won 5 in a row and we are still 12-21...I wouldn't be getting too excited over this team.

2 games out of the playoffs. The season is LOOONG in the NBA. no short win streak is going to get it done, but if the Knicks keep playing this smart, intense and under control they are going to win more than they lose.

Don't be such a Downer, this team has to start somewhere, so this is a good time to be excited about how they are playing, unless your not a real fan, than have someone check your pulse you may be .

well the last time the knicks won 5 straight they made the playoffs that season, so hopefully that pattern will continue, but your right though. there are still alot of things this team needs to work on, our defense still needs alot of work, and if you ask me we STILL needs a backup pg, but theres a difference between not getting too excited, and being a hater. I try to find the balance between being a fan and being objective.

We're definitely improving and I hope we make the playoffs but you never know with this team, I need to see consistent play over about 10 more games before I think playoffs.

Knight - who cares whether YOU are excited or not?

I never said anyone should care whether I'm excited. Raptors went on a five game run, so did we, it's hard to assess this team right now--our defense is still bad.

Raptors' fans should be excited too. Their team has a bright future.
The difference in the two teams' 5 game winning streaks is that three of our five wins were against teams over .500 whereas four of their five were against lottery teams.

Knight has a point though, I love this win streak as much as the next fan, but Im not satisfied with our defense, its great we won tonight, but the final score was like 115 to 117, even for OT thats too high, the same for the phoenix game, I thought they missed alot of shots in that game as well, but regardless I dont want to put a damper on things. But I dont think its fair to say knight isnt a true fan just becuase he is incredibly cuatious about getting his hopes up, especially with a team that dissapoints as much as this team has recently.

Wow! We can't just get enough, can we?

The team started the 2006 with great confidence and focus. They definitely wanted to leave 2005 back and have become a team in the process, communicating on defense, never giving up on offense. They started with a great 3 OT win against a top team in the West and we were all happy but many thought it was just luck. We moved on to beat two struggling teams that still had better records than us and had not been playing that bad in the beginning, at least the Wizards. Those were nice wins, we even blew the Wizards away, but still those weren't quality wins. We then go on the road and convincingly beat a good Cavs team. Still, it was because hughes wasn't there. Then we battle against one of the top three teams in the league, a strong and deep team, we lose a lead but still manage to win the game. Still, its not enough?

Yes, we have a long way to go before we are at .500, but this streak is no fluke. Each game we have had a stronger opponent, and each time we have stayed together and found a way to win. They are finally playing as a team. We aren't there yet in terms of the record but we sure have turned the corner and become a solid team.

We finally have a team!

It's obvious that Rosen has "something" against the Knicks by the grade that was given. There is no such thing as an "F minus".

Hey, it could have easily been 115-95 at the end of last year. The Mavs are an elite team and they sure have many weapons to score. Yeah, we gave up a lead and we couldn't stop them in the second half, but you can't expect the Knicks to suddenly play like the Pistons or Spurs, its a process that they are going through. The best thing is that no matter how difficult the game gets, they are now finding ways to win. Early in the season we tried hard and played well, but in the end we didn't know how to win. They are learning. In the Cavs game we sure played good defense down the line. Its just a process this team is going through, but the fact that they are finding ways to win is just so amazing!

Im loving this 2006!!

We should definitely defeat the Hawks!! The Wiz blew them away, and we blew the Wiz so they should keep the streak going.

Steven A. Smith just said exactly what I said after the game: don't get too excited, even though we won five straight we are still 12-21 and not a respectable basketball team yet. I guess he's not a real fan either.
