If I remember properly, we were trying to come up with all of the "Larry Brown type players" the Knicks have, before training camp started and we were also trying to decide who was in his doghouse. If I remember properly, we, including myself, were saying how Trevor was going to break out instantly (My bad). Larry was going to LOOOOVE Nate. Larry was going to give AD starters minutes no matter what. Larry wasn't going to play the rookies. Larry was going to HATE Steph, Mo T, Jamal, Jerome and beg Isiah to get all of them traded.
So what happens? Mo T is now an important part of our rotation. Larry has nothing but high praises for Steph, Jamal and the 3 rookies. Larry seems to yell at Jamal and Nate the most during the game and probably destroys them during practice and now they are playing big minutes and and playing great. Maybe these 2 are his favorites if he has any? We (Or at least me I know) was correct that Larry would hate Jerome. Trevor can't find himself as a regular part of the rotation. He is too raw and very young and immature. I love the kid to death, but he's not even close to being there yet. ADs playing time has been reduced big time. Larry finishes the games with the rookies???
Funny how things have turned out. I think the biggest surprise has been Mo T getting big minutes and establishing himself as a hard worker and better defender, and AD kinda free falling.
And now it seems like we are breaking out. If we beat Dallas tonight, I'll say we're starting to become a GOOD team, but I wont sip the Kool Aid until we finish a season above .500 and have a good playoff seeding. I want to win a championship.
Oh, if Curry gets hurt again, then we're screwed.
