The nine will change from game to game, so it's still not too steady.

You are seeing certain patterns now, though. BIP pointed out a few days ago that Curry gets one foul then LB takes him out and puts James in for just a couple of minutes then takes him out and rides with Taylor and Frye, b/c 4 minutes in the game is still a little too early for them to come in. We can survive those 3 minutes of fat soJerome. But he takes Curry out so he can have a lot of fouls to give in the second half. He usually uses them good and well.

But notice that ADs role has been diminished. I am fine with what he has now. He can start, the young guys need to be around him. He's a good teammate as is Rose and Taylor. All of them need someone to look up to, so it's good that not only these kids got someone to look up to, but also have minutes to fight for, against. There are going to be nights when Ariza and Woods get no PT though and then the next night they get a lot. That's what this rotation is like and that's what LB is like. We are deep.

Frye should be starting- I don't care about missed rotations or blocking out- I believe he is our single most talented and efficient offensive threat.

Ad should be off the bench for Curry in front of JJ.

And what happened to Butler? At one point, LB was saying he had earned time and was the best center?

I counted ten. Which means, why does Larry insist on giving JJ anytime at all even if its just 3 mins. Thats 3 more minutes for Frye or Taylor. JJ has painfully regressed if tht even makes sense as bad as he is. He showed a few flashes against the Pistons and in Seattle. Now, the guy thorws up airball layups. Its disgusting. Frye, Ad or Taylor can play the center position for at least 10-15 min a night. No one has any dominant centers anymore anyway.

to go anywhere in the playoffs, and I'm not talking this year obviously, you need a backup lug in the middle, and James is it for us. AD won't be here any more and Brown knows that until this guy is traded, he can/should be able to give you 10-15 solid minutes. You can't just expect him to rott on the bench. Start with 3 minutes, up it to 5, make him earn 10, and hope to hell he can somehow be semi-productive at 15.

Hey man, as long as Frye is getting 30 minutes a game, who cares who starts?

The only time JJ should see any time on the floor is in unique situations. Like when the Knicks are playing Shaq and Curry gets in foul trouble. JJ could serve as a big body to lean on Shaq and use up fouls. Other than situations similar to that, don't need to see him much.

I remember when the nets made thier run to the finals in 03. Mutombo rotted on the bench until they played the spurs and he actually played well.

I think AD is one guy you want on this team. He is unselfish, is a calming influence and a professional. The intangibles he brings no one else has. His playing time will go dwon but I hope they keep him on the team

King, any word on how Rose fits into that same role? I would think that he brings the same sort of leardership.

you just don't have the same type of influence if you are a player vs if you are a coach. I like AD as a player/coach ala Avery in his last years as a Mav player.

I agree with this. He seems to be enjoying playing with this team so much that, as he says, it energizes him. His starts may not always look great and he may miss some plays, but he has been a good leader and a good teacher to our big men. He brings stability on defense. If he still feels healthy enough to play another year, it would only help to sign him with the LLE and let him keep working on developing Curry and Frye...
