big shot rob.

he's playing some nice defense...grabbing boards...and playing scrappy.

his shot is WAY WAY off but i think if he can just work on it a little and really be used as the 5th option on some kickouts from the post, he could serve a VERY nice role for us b/c once we start asking him to score or set up plays for him, we get into trouble.

I think his role should be defense and rebounding, becuase right now his jumpshot is worse than david lee's, which is kind of sad if you think about it. anyway I think crawford could do the best job of the big shot rob role, If only we had another point guard, doh!

Q-Rich role should be on another team. Why do we need another PG? Steph showed what he can do when Jamal was out.

Crawford should play 40 minutes every night. I love Nate's intensity, but Craw is playing near all-star level.

I think Q's role until he finds his shot is defensive stopper against the quicker threes of the league. He showed he could do it tonight, but the starting lineup works too well with Lee in there. I don't know if Q will ever find his shot or if his back will ever get well enough to do it, but if he does this team is going to have one more weapon. Q spreading the floor for Frye, Curry and Mo? oh man...

Just because a guy cant score automatically we dubbed them defensive stopper. Q-Rich played Okay defensively, lets not go overboard. Lebron missed some shots he normally makes (and he still dropped 36.)

Q-rich threw up bricks and airballs and almost missed the floor on one of them.

yeah I guess your right, the knicks dont NEED another pg necesarily, it's just that I think Itll be hard for crawford to put up the numbers he did tonight, playing PG 1 half of the game, and SG the other half.
anyway If Q can defend the way he did tonight on a consistent basis, then maybe we shouldnt trade him.

yeah but he also made some terrible shots, so doesnt that even it out? anyway he was definately light years ahead of lee defensively, well tonight anyway, who knows if he can do it consistently.

Q is just a better matchup for certain wings. It isn't fair to ask DLee to keep up with Pierce, Davis, Bron, Kobe, etc. Q is a good match for those guys. If Ariza can get stronger and develop a jumper he can be this guy for us, but right now he has a lot of work to do.

...and to agree with Slim, let's get this straight: Lebron James did not play a good game. Taking 31 shots to get 36 points is not impressive. He needs to learn to pick his spots better, that scoring stretch he went on in the third quarter should have come in the 4th. He ran out of gas too early because of it. Also, he needs to learn to get his teammates involved more, and no, I don't mean the Kobe Bryant dribble around and then dish out to someone for a three. If Marbury had a game like Lebron had tonight, people would be ready to run Marbury out of town on a rail.

Lebron played a selfish game. He's got a long way to go. He and Kobe need to get over this idea that they're Michael Jordan pt.2, because they're nowhere near the all around player. Lebron had zero impact on defense tonight, didn't pick his spots, didn't his teammates going. It wasn't like watching Jordan, it was like watching Kobe. Another deluded talent buying into the hype of Sports Center and Nike before they actually learn how to play winning basketball. I'm so sick of watching Lebron and Kobe play sloppy, selfish and bad games and have ESPN tell me what great games they had because they took 30 shots and scored 35pts.

You know what I agree with you. and its strange I actually thought lebron james played better at the beggining of last season, and the season before then when he would play the point and look to set up his teammates more, ever since then he's become more of a gunner. Bear in mind that I know that Lebron is way more talented than marbury and I dont mean to say that he isnt when I say this, but I think Lebron is turning into marbury. Think about, marbury used to look like he loved to pass too, but then started taking like mad shot's per game and became the type of player that marbury skeptics have criticized him for being over the past couple of seasons, although as of right now he seems to be doing a better job of getting people involved. and another thing, if you notice lebron had a whole bunch of points in the 3rd quarter, but then faded in the more important fourth quarter, another thing marbury used to do. Im telling you guys if lebron becomes marbury, the fans in cleveland are going to turn on him, since they seem to be even more impatient than NY fans.

Bron had a bad game for his standards, because he took more shost then usual at a much worse percentage then usual to get to 30.

But don't kid yourself thinking that somehow Bron is gettin worse. He is shooting at an amazing 50% from the field, just stop and think about that for a second, the guy is averaging over 30pts a game shooting 50%! And he averaging sometin glike 5+ assts and rebounds.

Larry Brown came up with a way to contain Lebron in the 4th, when he made Q force him baseline and then the help came. And NONE of the Cavs players was able to make any kind of open jumper, a 3 or not. So Bron was forced to take tough shots over Q moving away from the basket. A great defensive scheme which worked like clockwork.

We should feel lucky Bron had a below average game, and the rest of Cavs did not even show up.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Yes, it ws just an off game for Lebron. I've watched most of him games and despite 31,its the first time I saw him jack up so many bad shots. Part of it is because Hughes is out and he's trying to pick up the scoring alittle. But is teamates should be sued for non support. The backcourt scored 5 points, ouch!

I always said we had a PG, his name was Marbury, but I do admit for long time I wanted Steph gone, now I like what I see in Marbs play ad he seems to be able to maintain that consistent team first play, he has turned it around along with turn people's view of him as well.

If Q Rich and David Lee cant split the minutes at small forward, than Q Rich might not have a place on the team.
