Well I don't even have an iPOD,lol.......it just makes the thread sound cooler. I still download songs to the all powerful PSP. Don't they look even more expensive sitting next to each other?

Don't have a iPOD? PSP? MP3 player? What's the matter with you? Still got a 8 track?

What's "booming in your jeep" ?

What are the guys(gals) of Ultimateknicks.com listening to?

Music fellas........kind of a spin-off from the ALBA thread

Good stuff, Marv. Lots of great names. Suprised you never heard of Jill Scott.

What songs take you away the second pops in your head phones?

I'm a 80's 90's type of guy myself.....I don't like anything that's out right now except for a few guys, but they have been out since the 90's anyway. I got mostly hip-hop in my PSP.

Reggae: Greggory Issacs, Barrington Levy, Bounty Killah, Bob Marley, Matisyahu, Shabba Ranks

Hip-hop: Jay-Z, Kanye, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, Smooth the Hustler, Smiff and Wessun, Black Moon, Heltah Skeltah, Jeru Da Damaja, Outkast, M.O.P., Mobb Deep, The Roots, Big Daddy Kane, Big L, O.C., Charlie 2na, Planet Asia, Digable Planets, Tribe Called Qwest, Dead Prez, Gza, Gangstarr, Jean Grae, Kardinal Offishall, KRS-1, MC-Lyte, Memphis Bleek,

R&B/Soul: Lauren Hill, Alicia Keys, Res, Floetry, Al Green, The Blackbirds, The Delphonics, Groove Theory, Guy, Jaguar Wright, Jazzyfatnasties, Teena Marie, Rick James

Alternative/Rock: Sade(i guess she's alternative), No Doubt, Limp Bizkit, Metalica, Motorhead

This is just what's in the PSP right now....i switch up every once in a while.

Everything from John Denver to Public Enemy... but as Marv can attest I have decent collection of Hendrix on there, probably my favorite.

I just got an ipod from my mother for christmas... I wouldnt have spent $300 myself but I must say its quite impressive. I do like it

I'll have to check her out. SHe's made our music thread and our Alba thread. If she hoops, she'll hit the golden trifecta.

What songs take you away the second pops in your head phones?

I'm real obsessed with Deborah COleman right now. SHe's a blues singer and guitarist. Real rhythmic, harmonic songs but also solid driving or shuffling beats. Great and unique guitarist - best woman I've heard play blues. Real good voice, not cliched, doesn't 'belt' songs out. Plus she's really adorable, has a deep presence. SHe took like 15 years out of her career to raise her kids and then came back. Here's how she looks:

I got to meet her at a show last year - man, she was lovely in every way.

My current favorite songs of hers: Healing Ground, Loves Like Rain, I'm a Woman, Bad Boy, Lie No Better, When WIll I be Loved.

Fish has a CRAZY Hendrix collection. i've been a huge fan of his since the mid-60's and FIsh came up with tons of tracks I had never known even existed. I was freaking on the stuff!

Btw I got the Bose ipod Dock for my bedroom. it sounds like an entire stero system and it's small, fits on a shelf. Recharges the ipod and has a remote so you can work through your collection from across your room - I like to switch on the Barry White without having to leave the bed

I've always loved Marley - never got to see him but have seen the rest of family. ALso Jimmy CLiff and especially Toots & the Maytals.

Totally with you on Outkast - Andre's disk on The Love Below was such a killer.

you know Axl was losing his hair back in the early 90s. He and Duff(GNR bassist) got in a fight one time and Duff ripped a chunk of his hair off his head lol. when Axl came back in 2001 he clearly had a hair transplant because his hair was thicker and darker. Than in 2002 he decided to go with those insane braids. Dreads are cool, but braids on a white guy looks a bit strange lol There's a picture on the net of hat Axl would look like bald and he looks like Vin Diesel! LOL
