January 2006

10 @CLE, 11 DAL, 13 ATL, 15 @TOR, 16 MIN, 18 @CHI, 19 DET, 21 NOK, 25 SAC, 27 ORL, 28 @PHI, 30 @ATL, 31 LAL

This is the remaining games the Knicks have this month, they starting tomorrow 8 games in 12 days, including 3 back to backs, those are all away the first game and home the second game, they get 3 days off, then play 5 game in 7 days with 2 back to backs which involves more traveling back and forth for these games.

Pretty much all of these teams have better records at this time, then the Knicks with the exception of Atlanta, who beat the Knicks badly earlier this year, so this current win streak is important for the Knicks, because they need every win they can get with a tough traveling schedule coming up.

I look at it this way, if we finish every month from here on out 3 games over .500 we'll finish the season 40-42...so hopefully we go at least 7-6 in the remaining 13 games this month and that means a 10-6 month which isnt that bad considering our awful start
I wasn't born with enough middle fingers!!!

The most logically way to look at this is....
@ Cleveland - L - Lebron is too much
vs Dallas - W - The Knicks always play the Mavs tough and will sneak out a win
vs Atlanta - W - Does any real Knicks fan think that the Knicks will lose to the Hawks again after that embarrasing performance at Phillips Arena
@ Toronto - W - Please the Knicks are a better team talent wise than the Raptors. Frye will have his way vs Villanueva
vs Timberwolves - L - This is a tough one. The Knicks had a history of playing bad in matinee games but they did very well vs the Sonics this past Sunday. Now this is an MLK game and usually they play well. But this is the TWolves. Who is going to guard KG?
vs. Bulls - W - They have already beat the Bulls once and Curry didn't get to play. Look for Curry to have a big game in Chi Town.
vs. Pistons - W - Do you think Larry Brown is going to lose his second in a row vs his former team. I tend to think not. I believe as a Knicks fan that the Knicks will beat the Pistons cuz they are at the Garden. This will be a very close game and considering the way the Knicks have played and won together I think they will shown enough toughness against this team in their own building.
vs. NOK, and vs. SAC - both W's - New Orleans probably won't have Paul by the time the Knicks play them and besides I think the Knicks should beat this team anyways. Sacramento could be tough at the Garden as they always are but big difference this year no more CWebb as we saw back in Nov in Sac Town.
vs Magic - W - After being blown out twice by this team and now Hill reverting back to his injury prone self do you think the Knicks will play another lousy game against the Magic. Look for revenge.
@ Sixers - L - The Knicks always play a close game in Philly and I think after the OT loss vs the Knicks at the Garden AI is not going to lose this one.
@ Hawks - W - Just cuz the Knicks are a better team.
vs Lakers - W - Yeah Kobe has been unstoppable and he showed it the first time we played the Lakers but the Lakers got some close calls at the Staples Center and this is the Garden. The Knicks should win this game. Marbury should eat this team up this time around against the Lakers.

Well that makes them 10 - 3. I think that is very probable considering that 8 of those 13 games are at the Garden. Come on Knicks fans don't ya see the same thing? We can go 13 - 3 in January. Forget about the Nets ongoing 10 game winning streak and Carter's buzzer beating shots. The Knicks are going to be the hottest ticket in the tri state area once again! Aiming for that 41 - 41 record. Knicks Fans Know. Go Knicks!

I think you're being a bit optimistic. The Dallas game and the Pistons game will be especially tough for our guys.

Yea I agree but I still remember that game the Knicks vs Dallas a couple of years ago. I know we still lost the game and we had a different team and heck we had Don Chaney as coach. I watched that game live at the Garden section 303 and after being blown out and the Knicks coming back that made me feel good and optimistic as a Knicks fan. Every game I look at I look at them with the Yogi Berra mentally, It aint over till its over. I remember high fiving Knicks fans after Marbury got that steal and when he kicked it out to Allan Houston for the 3 to tie. I was sitting right behind a family of Dallas fans. That comeback made it feel so good to be a fan of this franchise. But you are right those two games are going to test our guys' toughness.

Way too optimistic. I'd love to see them win all those games but aside from Dallas and Pistons, winning at Toronto wont be easy (Frye might not get a chance to outplay Charlie V being Larry is cutting Fryes minutes) and I believe that Bulls game is in Chicago which aont be easy aswell.

Curious, why are the Knicks better than the Hawks, in your opinion?

I think this is a pretty favorable month schedule-wise. I think going 8-4 the rest of the month is possible.

I'll be very interested to see how we do against Dallas tomorrow, the Bulls again, the Pistons again and just to see how we look against the Raptors.

Not that its going to happen, but imagine us going into the Detroit game on a 9 game winning streak? That would be amazing.

That would be so awesome!! I bet many of the media are really praying for that. That would make up for so many articles, so many expectations. Lets make it happen!!

I believe in this club. Clevland and Dallas back to back is impressive. The Knicks have to continue to win to make people respect them.

On NBA TV......that yes man they have Aldridge? He was kinda laughing at them winning 4 games in a row. Mad Dog Coach Carter had our backs and even Vecey took the bone out his ass and said some good things.

Stephan A. Smith represented for the Knicks tonight after the game....hard. I love that guy.

Even Kenny Smith during the game. I love Kenny too. Kenny is a Knick fan! There is no mistake about it. Would have been nice if he played for the Knicks instead of having to beat them for the championship. Kenny loves the Knicks roster. He sounds liek the Kool-Aid man himself. He also keeps Breen quiet. I likes!!!!

edit: I got the Knicks going undefeated in January. Go Knicks!!!
So that would be what.....11-0 after tonight? 16-0 in January? Why not? 23-21 by Feb? Lets go!!!!

Walton also was very complimentary of the Knicks on ESPN fastbreak tonight, saying again that the Knicks are REAL, that Larry's mindgames are over and the team has it's confidence back and they can focus on winning.

He's gonna be a Knicks fan from here on out though because of the Frye connection via Arizona where Frye played with Luke Walton. Remember he calls him "Little Sean" for some reason, that I think has something to do with Sean Elliot.
