But we beat the Suns after choking away a huge lead to a team that had already fouled out 3 players out on an already depleted team. Curry couldn't do anything in that game against KT but lit it up against some scrub in the OT's. Entertaining game but hardly an impressive win.

The Wiz and Sonics are both bad teams that have been playing horribly lately, especially the Wiz and are also bad defensive teams. Good wins but let's not go crazy.

The Knicks need to beat some good teams before you can chalk this up to something other than just a bad team having a good short run. Look at the Raptors and Hawks for evidence of the same.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Look on the bright side. The Knicks play in the Atlantic division. Lots of bad teams for the taking.

I agree. Lets not go completely nuts yet. lets compete against the better teams first but like Andrew said at least we are beating the teams we should beat now and should continue to beat.

I think Larry did the right thing by not throwing the rookies into the fire to start the season. It's paid off bigtime., because they don't even look like rookies anymore! We lost more than we should've with the vets but it's clear the future is looking bright

Guys! "Rain on Your Parade" is just a phrase. It is not meant to be taken literally.

Let us not do to Isles what it is rumored he does to the Knicks--Hate on him for no reason.

I am not sure if I understand. The rookies (Especially Lee) don't play at the beginning of the season, and somehow it translates into the appearance of more experience?

How does that work?

More likely LB decided he had to play Lee, and he had to a play a style that they can excel at.

Really I was directing this towards Lbeast and Slimpack who did seem to be taking Isle's thread title literally, but I appreciate the dripping sarcasm.

Regardless of what happened before the 3 OTs the point is LB stuck with the young guys and they came through. If you believe there is a maturation process than this follows that thinking. The young guys hung in through 3 OTs with an elite team and came away with a win. Based on the fact that KT fouled out guarding Curry and it had an impact on the game because Curry was a beast in OT and KT on the bench I would say Curry got the best of the that matchup.

If you dont believe its a maturation process and the team just sucks and got lucky for a week than ignore the above.

Anything can happen. The Bulls when 72-10. On of those 10 losses? Against Mighty Mouse and the expansion Raptors. That being said teams with talent, good coaching and that play hard tend to make their own luck.

We will see... I'm riding a 7 game winning streak in the game picker and I'm getting a little ambitious. I think they lose against Cle on the road but win the next 4. This is also the time LB's team start to turn things around.

This is ridiculous. Wins are wins. Other than that this thread is a waist.

Ummm ok, using this logic, the Bulls won 70 games 10 or so years ago but let's subtract all of the wins thay got against bad teams, struggling teams and teams with key injuries. So let's say they REALLY won 30 because those were the wins that were against good teams. Get real.

It's not about a parade. The reality is the Knicks are on a 3 game winning streak. Three W's. Accept it...it's in the books. Only thing to analyze now is Cleveland. Case closed.

I wasnt taking it literally. Im familiar with the saying. I was just trying to say that I didnt think it applied here becuase I didnt think this message board got over excited or got carried away with the 3 wins. I assumed that by using that saying that we were over-rating the knicks and was trying to bring us back to reality. But I didnt hear anyone say that the knicks were a lock to make the playoffs or that the knicks are definately a good team now or anything like that, just that we were playing better, which is true. also isles is wrong about the raptors.

I agree with you Slim. I think they have a very nice young core and could easily win 40 to 50% of their remaining games.

yeah me too, I think the only reason they had their 5 game winning streak snapped, was becuase of an errant call by javies that got mo pete ejected. not becuase they are a bad team that had a good stretch as islesfan was trying to imply.

I agree, the Crap-tors aren't that bad of a team. They are currently about even talent-wise with the Knicks, but I would say the Knicks' players have more potential in the long run.

I'd rather we beat those bad teams than lose. Then we not so bad anymore.

Part of the process.

Suns ain't too shabby even if they wuz tired. We lost 7 games prior to that.

Rain on the parade, I did not even know we wuz having one.
Ok, not to rain on anybody's parade
