He hung tough through the boos and collected his game.

If he can play four games iin a row like these, he can play five.

Stephon can be even better and he knows it.

The difference is a better supporting cast with a healthy Mo Taylor, a confident David Lee and an aggressive Eddy Cuury instead of the 68 year-old Tony Davis, the limited Malik Rose and the struggling Quinton Richardson.

It ain't rocket science.

Marbury looks dominant again, the ironic thing is that he migh actually be tradeable now because of the way he's playing.

Can't trade Marbs unless you get a great package back where as two weeks ago you would trade him for scraps.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

no marbs wont get traded now because its pretty obvious to see that Marbs is being molded to lead this team
''We don't have the luxury to take anybody lightly,'' New York's Quentin Richardson said. ''We're not that good.''

hahahhahahaha!

its not that serious man. NY is 10-21 now. 11-23 T-Dot had there 5 game win streak snapped. didn't do the math but we may enter tommorrow with only the 14th worst record in the East.

break out the Asti!

I love Steph but this is the only way that he'll be a true winner in my book. He should be able to lead the Knicks into the playoffs this year. This could be a very good team.

Will he?

That's sort of a false standard, since Larry threw away start of the season to teach lessons...

guys are playing well around him. Steph looks alot better with athletic bigs crashing the boards and guys actually hitting their jumpers.

Marbury can be a top 3 PG, he's in a position to suceed and has the coach that can take him there. I'm optimistic. This team will go as far as Curry and Marbury can take them

Normally, I'd agree, but the East is so crappy this year that a true franchise type player couldn't lead a team into the playoffs like D-Wayde did with Miami two years ago.

Let's just say that if he isn't a large part of any playoff push, I'll be extremely disappointed.

Keep Marbury. Keep this team together and see what they can do this season. It's time to end the constant trading and let these guys continue to develop their team chemistry.

McK1 - baby steps homes. Stephon is a work in progerss just like the rest of his mates. That is the beauty of team sports.

For some strange reason, as much as I despised his past performances and self-centered approach, his demeanor has changed over the past four games and the double-figure assist numbers are undeniable evidence of something positive.

Bear in mind, the cat STILL has scored in the context of an offense, under his direction, that is starting games with some panache and renewed confidence.

Perhaps it was the conversation with John Starks in Milwaukee. Maybe Clyde in the house is a good thing. Maybe Isiah has visited his neighbor and shared a few cups of coffee. Perhaps Phil Ford has rubbed off by mere osmosis.

Maybe Larry Brown is his FIRST coach to actually make his message herad and respected.

I don't care.

I just want Steph to feel the love in The Garden he always wanted, and so desperately craves.

Plausible theories

IMO the change in demeanor is because the Garden spoke!!!!

That was the first time in Steph's career where he's been booed so ferociously. Getting a Milk of Magnesia taste of what all the coaches and teammates he undermined went through seems to have been an eye-opener. Plus he has gotta know that Isiah's future hasen't been inked yet. If he doesn't take a winning hand in extending Isiah's tenure, you can rest assure the next GM hired will be handed a blade the size of Odin's and Steph is first up on the chopping block.
