For those of you who don't know yet, the nypost is reporting that New York and Dallas have sent 1 million dollars each to Houston as future considerations. No draft pick, no nothing, just a little cash. Looks like for once Layden did a good job by getting the deal done and not giving into the Rocket's original demands. My only question remaining is, does the money count against the cap? Still, whether it does or doesn't i'm very happy with the trade.

I'm pretty sure that the money does not count against the cap.

Thats good that it doesn't count against the cap. Next thing to do is auction off Charlie Ward for the best big man. The Bulls and Clippers are rumored to have the most interest right now. Who can we get for him?

Well, what does Insider say about what Rice netted for the Houston Team regarding future considerations?

Well, what does Insider say about what Rice netted for the Houston Team regarding future considerations?

From Insider
A source close to the Rockets said that while they wanted a lottery-protected first-round pick, they settled for cash for completing the deal. According to the source, the specifics of who will send what have not been worked out yet, thus "future considerations," though Dallas is expected to pony up the most of the cash. The expected payoff is expected to be around $1 million dollars. Chump change to Mavs owner Mark Cuban who, last year, threw in $3 million cash for every deal he completed.
