wow, i didnt even hear about this. this kiind of thing definitely feeds the racist undercurrent in this country. As if black people have a monopoly on this kind of act. these guys are deranged or on hardcore drugs or both. a regular criminal doesnt do this kind of thimg. this is sickening.

i wrote the naacp today about this crime. this is the type of crime that sets off regressive racial momentum. two african american males bouding little white girls ages 4 and 9, slitting their throats, killing their parents in front of them before they die. The animals then go on and try to hide this barbaric act by attempting to burn the house down all in the name of a auto theft?

What did your letter contain to the NAACP?

Basically what I said, I think they should address this issue at some point. I feel it's an outrageous, cruel crime that oozes with racial hatred. You always want to see the bridge in racism dissipate. I think thats happening slowly but surely, its not going to be fixed overnight, but this type of act can set things back. As a person who cares about all people and his country, Id like to see some culpability and denoucement.

Briggs, this a horrible story, and it really makes my stomach churn but exactly what do you expect the NAACP to do about this?

I was born and raised in the projects and I've never heard nor seen anything that the NAACP has done to directly or inderctly affect the harsh realities of ghetto life. I'm sure thy've managed to touch a frew peoples lives, I wont deny that, but to me, the NAACP seems more interested in grand-standing, and politiking about what needs to be done to improve the environment in which more hopelessness reign supreme and dreams die, but never get any action done.

Honestly, the best way to get a message to African americans nowadays is through Rap music. These rappers hold the ears and attention of more black youth than Farakhan, Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson could ever dream about. Its scary when I come to the realization that 50 cent and Jay Z are the modern day Malcolm X and Martin Luther Kings in terms of getting a message to the masses. Unfortunately, the radio/and video channels only braocast the messages of violent images, and negativity leading the public to believe there aren't many positive rappers around which is far from the truth. They've just been silenced.

Sorry for going of on that little rant. Just needed to get that off my chest.

Lastly, I don't know much about the incident, but I doubt if it was racially motivated. This sounds to me as if it was economically motivated.
