I love Nate but him matching up defensively against Dwyane Wade, Michael Redd, Ray Allen and Jason Richardson scares the bejeesus outtta me.

On the other hand, although Qyntel is raw and country as a chicken coop, he's 6'8 and presents a reasonable obstacle to shoot over. Qyntel has looked to pass immediately and shy on his jump shot, but he has shown the ability to get to the rack and finish with authority.

What's the worst that can happen?

Bring back the big backcourt

I agree, I'd like to see what those two could accomplish together. We are to small with Nate starting in that position. While he has the speed to keep up with the Wade's of the world (plus crazy hops) I don't think he would alter or bother their shot's at all.
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

Nate guards PG's. None of those guys are PG's

I really like the three guard rotation of Nate, Marbury and Craw. I agree with Fish, Marbury has always needed a second ballhandler out there to open up the floor for him.

I think people are overrating Qyntel. He's okay.

another problem is that Nate and Marbs guard better than Woods no matter who they are guarding.
I just hope that people will like me

Nate's strength on D is his ball pressure. He'll guard PGs, while Marbury will guard the SGs like Wade, etc....

Q's quite possibly the worst 1 on 1 defender we have... just how would that improve our perimeter defense?

Plus, Q doesn't handle it well enough at this point in his career to play in the backcourt

now that Woods is in the rotation lets see what he can do as a backup SF first before we make him a starter. He still needs to work on his footwork on both ends. I'd start him on Kobe though since he killed Marbury last time

If we're talking about pure defense, our best backcourt lineup is Marbury and Nate with probably Ariza as the small foward. In terms of offense, I think the team works great with that 3 guard lineup, but mainly in smaller stretches. It worked great against Phoenix, but it's not always gonna be that way. When Crawford gets his defense going though, it's a no brainer to put him in the starting lineup and give him almost 40 minutes a game.

yea, i see Nate becoming that combo guard off the bench, and Craw becoming a starter once LB is confident in his D. Q1 has been erased from our plans.

I agree with this, wood's ballhandling, jump shooting, and defense to me are lacking to put him in a SG role. I think this team needs offense at the 2 guard, I dont even know how good his J is, but his driving skill aren't fully developed yet, and since he seems to have a major problem keeping his man in front of him I dont think that its a good idea.

Qyntel can be a solid player on both ends of the court if he wants to be and if he can keep his head on straight. If he's got the right attitude, he will have been a steal for just a league min contract. It's gonna take time, though. How long had it been before he signed with the Knicks since he even played in an NBA game? He's had inconsistent minutes his whole career (through his own faults).

Q2 supposedly has T-mac skills. Hope he realizes these and gets in the game, literally.

those T-Mac comparisons were made to him coming out of junior college... you all should be happy if Q Woods realizes even Bobby Simmons level skills at this point.
