Trade #687345 on Realgm.com
Knicks trade Sprewell to Seattle
Seattle trades VinBaker to Cleveland
Cleveland trade Andre miller,Tyrone hill and Dasgana Diop to Knicks.
Now, the knicks get 3players in order to match it up capwise. Tyrone hill is playing in last yr of his contract and is practically finished basketball wise. Diop is a 7'3 project who so far hasn't turn out to be what cleveland expected. Hey, maybr playing for knicks will change his fortune. The reason why i said Vin BAker to cleveland is because they got no power foward. He would fit nicely at the four. Now if this ever occur then knicks need to remove eisley's killer contract. Kinicks would get a legit bonifide pg who probably is 2nd best behind kidd. He did lead the league in assist close to 11 per game. Baron davis is more of a scoring pg but dre tends to set up plays and is very creative. What do you people think of this trade????????

From Cleveland's viewpoint the trade boils down to Miller, Diop and Hill for Vin Baker. No way Cleveland makes that trade!

Yeah, I read about that too...

The details are still being hammered out, from the sound of the article.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Why would the Cavs trade Andre Miller for Vin Baker, when we would be more than happy--ecstatic, in fact--to give them Ward and Thomas? On draft night, the Cavs were holding out for Odom/Miles and a lottery pick from the Clips. And that's pretty much the low end of what they would want for Miller, since they have this whole season to find a better deal (and no real desire to win now).

Unfortunately for the Sonics, you've got to get garbage (Kenny Anderson) to give garbage (Baker).

According to bskball's hoopsworld, it seems as if New York is trying to get involved in the Boston/Seattle deal. They like Baker and might be trying to get him while dealing Thomas and Ward. I don't know if i like that trade.

DODGING THE VIN BULLET
Boston GM Chris Wallace would not comment to media about talks of a Vin baker to Boston trade, and Boston head coach Jim O’Brien wouldn’t say much either. Celtics sources refused to speculate, which is an oddity in itself, because either they knew something was going on, or they knew nothing about it. The Sonics are playing damage control, as mentioned above, and moving out Baker’s $56 million is a priority. The Celtics added Bruno Sundov o the roster yesterday for a minimum deal, and talks with Rodney Rogers are on going, as no one seems to want to give Rodney their full exception. The Magic have surfaced with an offer, but it doesn’t seem likely that Roger’s will be in Orlando for their exception money, and Philly seem preoccupied with trying to salvage the Greg Buckner deal. It seems Money Mark Cuban may have made an offer comparable to Philly’s offer and now it’s up to Philly to increase the deal or Buck may head back to Dallas. The Mavs are rumored to be agreeable to a sign and trade with Buckner, if he really wants to play in Philly, but the Mavs would like to get something in return for him. The Celtics seem interested in trade talks, so a deal involving Baker, through Boston may be a possibility as the Knicks are said to have interest. It would fit Boston’s stance on finances to see Baker come through Boston to New York, with Boston picking up Kurt Thomas and Charlie Ward, both have Boston friendly contracts. It may open the door for a sign and trade for Roger’s to Philly for an ending deal.

"Trade #687345 on Realgm.com

This trade does not work because Celveland will not do it. They have said repeatedly that they want young players under contract in exchange for Miller. Period. That's why we're haveing trouble getting miller. We have to find a third or fourth team that:
A. wants someone we have
B. does not want miller for themselves(so that emlinates Indiana, and Atlanta)
C. has young players under contract they want to give up.

Then we could forget about Miller and probably aim for Van exel in dallas. That particular trade is already on the table for the knicks. Getting Miller is nearly impossible. The only team thats out there are the clippers but that would exclude the knicks because of the difference in payrolls.
