Qich might not be the player for larry's system.

He reminds a lot of Denis Scott form Georgia Tech. Dude lasted 10 years in the NBA, but really was shot after about 6 years.

To slow for SG, to small for SF, had a nice game but body did not hold up.

I feel for the dude and what he is going thru, but if he is not going to fit in and his back is problematic, then lets get what we can for him and move on.

even when he hasn't been healthy he's still been dunking. I don't buy the Dennis Scott thing...yet. he may be heading down that road though.

You gotta love NY fans...give a guy a few months here on a team that is struggling and his career is "done" - lets be realistic here, you cant just trade every single player after they dont produce immediately. They guy is having personal issues, health issues, and coaching issues with the system.

That doesnt mean you give him away. I would say if there was a #1 draft pick unprotected and maybe a second rounder or a future #1 protected added in, as well as an ok player that will fill a need - then you do it. But what exactly are we getting from this trade scenario?

When a player is good in NY eveyone overvalues him, when he is bad - he becomes extremely undervalued. I thought the trade of KT for Q was a good one and I stand by it. If this team was performing like it should, Q would be a valuable piece. There is a lot more to this then just general health and mental stuff.

The locker room is probably a huge part of the problem every player is having right now. No team spirit or pride. Give them a few wins and see what happens. Dont make a trade just to make a trade.

richardson has been essentially useless so far this season, he misses wide open shots on a consistent basis. he is a big reason as to why this team is not performing as it should. Although I dont think we should trade him right now becuase his value is too low, and I dont even think denver would do the above mentioned trade until q proves that he can be healthy. As much as I hate to say this the best move with q would probably be to shut him down until he gets completely healthy, he may even have to take some time off the get rehabilitated.

K-mart should never play for NY don't you remember how hated he is in New York, same goes for Lenard, and J-Kidd by the way. Watson is a decent player but for Q no-way. He is having a bad year for what ever reason, But a trade for Watson the talents are not even close. We gave T-Thomas more then a few months let's do the same for Q.

Hated the trade from the word go. True, we needed to move Thomas, but not for a specialist like Q-Rich.

I agree that NY overrates good players and undervalues bad ones, but like I said, I never like the trade to begin with. We could have gotten better value for KT, who plays a position that half the league is trying to trade for now.

Kenyon Martin has the worst contract in the NBA. He is not the same Kmart who played for the Nets. He has a arthritic knee which is only going to get worse. I have watched the Nuggets a lot this season and he is not the same high flying dunker anymore. He gets his share of dunks but he is becoming more of a jumpshooter. His defense isnt where it was either. 5 years for 70M for that kind of a player? No thanks. They can keep him.

Physically Kenyon Martin is like Allan Houston all over again. Like this guy said Denver can keep him and his bloated contract. Besides talent wise Kenyon thrives more in an open court style of basketball and that has not been Larry Brown's style.

thought I don't like to normally analyze trades this way, we'd essentially be netting Nate Rob, Earl Watson, Veshon Lenard & a protected pick in exchange for Kurt Thomas & Trevor Ariza in my proposal... that's not bad by any stretch of the imagination... i agree Q is the best player in that deal & there's no way i'm saying he's done as a player... i just think the trade idea i proposed does address our current needs, & i think it's a deal that would help both teams.

I wish things would work out for Q here in NY. I said this before.....the dude is like one of my favorite players. From his CLipper days mostly but in Pheonix he still displayed the great confidence that you love to see. He's not arrogant. He's just a firey player. You just haven't seen that in NY......just that one time when he hit 6 straight points to start the game and Brown promptly too him out.

I'd rather see the dude with George Karl. The way denver plays is a perfect match with Q's attitude on the court. I think he'd fit better there with those personalities too.

I also had a thread on here that said "no trades".......I'd rather them not do anything but this is the state of these Knicks. Brown put the Knicks in a hole now Isiah is sitting there trying to pull them out.

Alot of trades work between the two teams...

Q and Ariza for Earl and Nene, Q and Ariza for Earl and Hodge, Q for Earl and Nene works and Q for Earl and Hodge works also.

No one's taking broken-ass Q off our hands. Not with that contract.
