Hughes To Miss Six To Eight Weeks With Fractured Finger
4th January, 2006 - 11:56 pm

USA Today - Cleveland guard Larry Hughes will miss the next six to eight weeks with a broken finger.

Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry said that one or two screws would be inserted in the joint area of Hughes' right long finger to close the fracture. The surgery will be done in Cleveland later this week.

"We've done tests on the injury all year," Ferry said. "It just started to flare up. We're anxious to get him back at 100%."

The 26-year-old guard, who signed with Cleveland before the start of the season, is the team's second-leading scorer, averaging 16.2 points and 3.9 assists.

He started the first 28 games for the Cavaliers before missing Wednesday night's game at Milwaukee. Damon Jones started in Hughes' spot. [READ]

It's nice to trade Q over there but getting back Snow? That is not a fair trade.....a draft pick would have to come too but I still don't think thats worth it.

I want no part of Eric Snow. no bloody thanks.

Also, losing Hughes means they have one less ball handler and playmaker in the lineup. Trading Snow for Q takes away another ballhandler and playmaker for a broken shooter.

They'd be crazy to take Q. CRAZY.

We can't get anything for Q now. No one will insure his back and he's out with an injured back.

The best course with Q is to sit back and see if he can play better and up his trade value. Move him at the deadline or over the summer. I would do Q for Patterson. Or Q for Watson, but we have to raise his trade value first. Show he's healthy.

thats fine because i doubt the cavs will trade snow anyways. They dont really have anyone else to run the point unless they put Lebron there. And snow plays good one-on-one and team defense so i doubt CLE wants to lose that to get a player who has been struggling and would be nothing more than a reserve for Lebron&Hughes(once back from injury).
