I was shocked when I noticed that in the entire season (508 minutes), he's gotten just 5 assists! With his ability to draw double teams, he should be averaging 3 assists per game. I knew he wasn't a good passer and we don't have the kind of perimeter shooters that you'd want to surround him with, but he should have more assists just by accident. Do you have hope that he can one day be a good passer after drawing doubles?

yeah he doesnt...i say the coaches should let the guards penetrate..draw the double than dish it to Eddy for an EZ stuff, like how marbs did with Nazr

wow, 5? is that 5 more than Mo has? Give them credit though, who are they going to kick it out to? We don't exactly light it up from three.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

We've seen him play hard on offense and defense. He looks like he cares and wants to win. I think he just has no idea about what to do when he draws a double team. I don't think he'll ever be the kind of low-post passer that Shaq or Duncan is but he should be able to average 1.5 APG some day.

Mo has almost tripple the assists in fewer minutes. Mo's a perfect illustration of why I said Eddy should have far more assists even by accident. I'm not saying this is a fatal flaw of Eddy's, but it's an obvious and serious problem that Larry, Isiah, and Aguire should be working on with him.

This is the beauty of this game, the constant evolution of one's game when they decide to put forth maximum effort to advance their game, I think Eddy wants to improve his game to help the team and the coaching staff will make sure he does just that, given that I believe Curry will improve on his passing along with the other intangibles he can improve upon.

He passed out of the post in the GS game, I remeber and I wrote about it, because I had never seen it happen before. it is a major weakness of his.

Eddie is working on no putting his shoulder down into his defender for the offensive foul and getting position. Next is passing out of the defense and recognizing double teams.

I agree with this. You have to give the kid time to work on all facets of his game. One thing is for sure, he is improving this year over last. I've seen him go up for boards, get his body in the way, even tips to a teammate. That shows someone who is really trying in the rebound department. When he went to the line for those crucial FT's, how many people wet their pants, sure he would screw it up? I know I did. Yet he put them in.

You can't expect him to turn into Shaq overnight, but judging from the improvements this year, he seems well on the way to being the dominant force in the middle that was predicted.

I thought he did once or twice against the suns. Granted he ain't Bill Walton, but I think they are trying to get him the ball in motion which does not freeze him, and it seems he is looking to get rid of it.

I see improvement, really!

There was that 1 play the other night where he got triple teamed and took forever to kick it back out.

I was screaming at the TV.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

two things we need to work on as a team: 1. not to take 10 seconds to deliver the ball in the post, and 2. not to take ANOTHER 10 seconds to recognize and double or triple team.

david lee gets the ball and passes it into the post in a flash. that's what we need to be doing but our guards are so worried or our bigs just take too long to establish position that it sometimes kills the possession.

the reason curry probably doesn't kick it out with us is that he has no confidence that he'll ever get it back!

Eddy is very much a work in progress. The only thing in his game that's advanced is his post scoring. He's raw in pretty much every other facet.

Looking at the boxscore against PHO, none of the knicks PF's had any assists... NY only had 23... that's for over 60 minutes of basketball. Just a sidenote.

on the flip side, we turned it over 22 times in the entire game and only ONCE in all 3 overtime sessions (the david lee travel).
