Quentin Richardson, Jackie Butler, for Adonal Foyle, Mickael Pietrus and GS top 5 protected #1 pick?

For gs:
Makes them better. Q would thrive out there, and their bench would be potent. Even be able to do a 3 guard offense when Dunleavy is sucking (which is often). Plus they get a cheap young big.

For NY:
Addition by subtraction. Q is sucking here, he needs to be out west chucking to get into the flow.
Foyle and Q make similar money.
Pietrus plays defense and is athletic as hell. And hes young and cheap of course.
Foyle could play 10-15 mpg bnlocking shots and filling in for one of our oft-injured bigs.
Plus we get a #1 pick which will be in the middle of the draft or mid to late lottery.

I don't get the part where other teams think Q will suddenly flourish cause he is going to a more open team. A TON of the 3 point shots he has been taking are WIDE open. CLANK.

Its really about the style of offense. Q doesn't get alot of shots with us. We slow it down and run every possesion down to at least 5 on the shot clock. Out west, Q would easily get MANY open looks and he is a streak shooter, thats what he needs. Not to mention the fact that LB's subs and rotations can really hurt a streaky shooters confidence.

looks good, we would be fortunate to get their number 1 in that deal.

We would set some kind of record for salary paid out to centers too, but who's counting.

We really need a three that can dribble and shoot well, basically what Q is supposed to be.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I think the Knicks have reached the point at which they want to become cheaper.

Pietrus is the best player involved with the most upside; Foyle is the worst contract involved. It's a fair deal IMO without the draft pick. The pick would probably kill the deal.

Nice try, but not gonna happen, Mullin cherishes his draft picks, and Q is not worth anything decent at this time.

Call me an idiot, but I still don't want to give up Jackie Butler. I see something there with this player.

GS gives up Foyle, Pietrus AND a # 1 for that??? Come on, you gotta be kidding. Have you seen Q this year? I'm sure they have. He looks like he's got a piano on his back.

I'd look at Dunleavy for Q & Ariza though.

No chance, Pietrus is a budding fringe star that plays defenese and is very athletic, i would send ariza, q, and butler to get the guy, no way they give up a pick
