I truly believe we are turning a corner. I think that last game may have been a breakthrough as far as Steph understanding how to play and get other guys going. He is the easiest guy to get going so I am not worried much about him. If he plays like last game and takes 7 more shots, I'm happy and I think that puts us in a great postion to win.

We also defended the 3 very well against orlando. I still think we can close out these last 4. None of them are gimme's but they can be had. If Curry and Craw play like that again and Steph plays like he bleeds new york, I think we will.

"But I love New York more than anything and I'll do anything to be in New York because this is the place I grew up loving to play basketball. Being a fan of New York, it's more special than some other players because they're not from New York and they didn't grow up loving the Knicks. I'm hoping I won't have to ever leave New York....My heart and soul bleed New York colors...When he came here I was willing to make a sacrifice and I still am, to do whatever's necessary to win in New York"

I fully expect him to live up to that, and I believe the learning curve gets mastered, starting tonight...

BTW, in the spirit of Diderton I predict 35-20! Thats our record for the last 55 games of the season. Bank it....tts a done deal.

I don't see it that way at all. Brown and Marbury by all accounts aren't speaking. Not good. And Steph IMHO, made a point last game, like, "if I don't shoot we don't win." Or he was pouting because of something LB said or did. Maybe because LB benched him for the 4th quarter of the Nets game. I think it is about to blow up.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

you also thought we were going on a five game winning streak.

I don't think we are turning a corner yet. I don't think that will be possible until Curry, Frye and Crawford are all starting or at the very least playing 35 minutes a game off the bench. the big key is having Curry healthy and being ready to play every night. The team is still adjusting how to play with him, partly becaue of injuries to Curry that made him miss camp and a couple of five games stretches.

The team won't start winning consistently until Frye and Curry learn how to play together, on offense and defense.

I could live with Steph if he played with heart and was clutch.

But he's not.

So he's gone.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I hope you're right. Maybe all the conflict is also part of the necessary growth process....

But I'll believe it when I see it.

Its still early, but you have to admit you are seeing something very different from this team in the first half. Amd Marb's is the catalyst. 7 assists and we aren't even halfway in the 2nd? You gotta admit, something is different and its better.

That was a good half of basketball. Marbury with 9 points and 9 assists - and a steal, just for LB I hope they keep the same intensity and focus in the second half.

Let's see him do it for 3 games in a row atleast before you guys jump back on the bandwagon.

I know everyone mentions the issue about having a leader in a way to attack Marbury because he is the franchise player $20 mill boy. Why don't we just accept the fact that Marbury isn't a leader, which isn't a knock on him because he is still a very good player, and make our best to get a leader player that can duo with Marbury and pick him up on court? Im sure Marbury is trying and that it has to be so tough for him because his whole game is being changed, but if we could just let Marb do his thing and have another player be the one to set the tone for the team and lead them, it would really be a blessing. Marb needs to be carried, not to carry a team on his shoulders becaue we know that doesn't works...

I don't think Killa was ever off the bandwagon. As for me, I'm not on or off- I'm just trying to be fair. This was a decent game for Marbury.

People mean different things when they discuss leadership. It's understood he's not going to be the guy to clap his hands in a huddle and get everybody UP.

But as your main 'star' and primary ballhandler he needs to be someone you can trust in the go-to, either as a scorer or playmaker or defender/intangiables... something. He can't just be a nobody out there while collecting 20M and being gloomy. And giving an occasional 'my bad' or a pat on the bumm isn't being a leader, it's being kinda average, or normal.

He, his stature, his salary, his 40 mins, his offense, his playmaking, his role, his significance to the team, the GM and to the franchise is simply too important for him to just go thru the motions or be self-absorbed.
