Crawford has shown a maturity that he's listening to Larry Brown and willing to play Larry's way. Crawford has played very well, especially now that he's driving to the basket more often.

Marbury should just play the 2 and concentrate on scoring b/c he's not the pa prototypical Larry Brown point guard.

Q Richardson has not contributed as a starter, maybe he can off the bench. Although he could be traded any day now for a back-up point guard.

I would to see the following line-up and 9 man rotation tonight:

Pg: Crawford, (Marbury)
Sg: Marbury, Nate
Sf: Ariza, Q
Pf: AD, Frye, Mo T
C: Curry, (Frye)

I couldn't believe on that fast break in the last game when Craw didn't pass the ball. I don't even remember the play too well but I remember he was being tightly guarded when there was a wide open Knick and he didn't score. I've seen him do that before too. No way is he ready (nor do I ever expect him to be) for full-time PG duties. He doesn't understand smart passing. He has almost as many turnovers as assists! (1.6:1 ratio)

I actually do think he can be a full time PG at some point, He's had a couple of nifty passes and has shown flashes of being a good pg before, but then again he's shown flashes of doing a lot of stuff that he hasnt ever done consistently.

I agree Bonn. Craw has a bad assist to turnover ratio and outside of slightly better shot selection - his decision making has not improved. I think the "Craw has Matured" line of reasoning is wishful thinking - he's the same old craw - certainly not a full-time PG.

The reason Craw is getting better is because Brown is forcing him to learn to lead and run the point. Brown will make him earn it. As you can tell by the games he is giving Craw more and more time at the point as time goes by and he improves. Let it run it's course and be patient. No need to rush it. This is about development, not about us seeing our favorite players play.

YOur theory about his leadership with the second group was excellent!

It's like your kids. If you give your younger kids everything because you are sick of seeing your older kids and just want to push them out the door you older kids will resent you and your younger kids will be spoiled brats that don't know anything.

The same goes for basketball. People ignore the fact that the reason why so many high draft picks(especially high schoolers) flame out on expansion teams is because they are handed everythign from the beginning. They come in not understanding how to work hard or lead. Then they come to these teams are handed minutes without earning them and are expected to learn the subtle nature of the game just by bein on the court. It doesn't happen that way. You will see our young guys develop very quickly because if they don't Larry will see that they don't get time until they do. So if a guy wants to play he has no choice but to listen and learn.

I think the biggest problem is te attitude Steph seems to exhibit towards Larry....they are always taking these backhanded pot shots at each other. Larry is trying to make him a better point Steph is reisiting the change even though the old way he is used to isn't working here.
