Many supporters seem to suggest the town is down on Steph because of the media, or because NY always hates their stars.

I don't know, Don Mattingly did okay here. Starks lost us a championship and is beloved. People like JYD while he was here for some of our worst ball. forget about winners like Namuth, Jeter, Mantle, and Messier.

So why Steph?

And clearly Steph believes he's a victim of a conspiracy. Look at what he said this summer, when he thought he'd be moved, not because we'd suck, but because we'd be good!

WE are being played. The media hates a guy and they harp on it and harp on it. They love a guy and they talk about how great a guy he is and starved for info, we buy it all.

Allan Houston was a great guy and we boo'd him. Ewing was a warrior and we boo'd him. Mason was a jerk and the media sang aobut him. I could give to craps about a guys personality. The fans could give to craps aobut his personality

Don't compare the Knicks to any other sport. In basketball one player can make a bigger difference than any other sport. Players can be targeted much easier. the truth is as Knicks fans we target our stars for our teams failures. Then we go on to assume that if we just get under the cap we will be able to sign a superstar.
