Larry Brown is so insecure and so egotistical he thinks he can win with these vets. How he hasnt given up on these guys yet is beyond me. Brown is a great coach but if you dont have horses you cant win. Detroit isnt missing a beat without him. Until Brown swallows his pride and plays the young kids and the guys that play hard the Knicks will continue to spin it wheels. LB you have a flawed roster and there isnt anything you can do about it. These guys are so bad and make so much money you cant trade them. If your going to get blasted do it for the future not with rich vets that dont play hard.

Frye played great off the bench. I have no problem with Frye coming off the bench if he plays this many minutes. I'd like to see Lee get 7 min per half, though.

King1 he's not trying to win, he's trying to dump the players he doesn't want.

I want Nate and Craw to play the point, and Steph to be the 2.

That would be a start. I want that too. Then I want a decent SG to have a fair shot to displace him from there.

why do that, why noe just trade marbs and Q to minn for Rashard mccants and wally and a first round pick, this gives Minn the weapon they need to go with garnett, gives them another weapon, give it a shot..

Yeah, we'd probably have to take Hudson too to make salaries match. can't say I love the deal, but that's what you get for a hard to move player like Steph. I'd probably prefer an expiring contract ans a higher pick though, but we need a pure shooter more than we need a combo guard, and Wally is pretty pure.

who would give us an expiring deal for marbs? I don't like this deal either but we get a young player to continue the youth movement and a shooter... this just sucks..

The knicks were just embarassed today, and the only two players that tried to do something about it were Nate and AD. I'm starting to get tired of this anti-AD talk because he's a good role model for the rookies and he's one of the very few players on this team with any heart or any toughness. We don't even have a reason to lose games since we have no pick, so we might as well play the players that actually care. Frye and Curry aren't gonna play 48 minutes a game - Curry probably won't be playing more than 30 minutes in any game this season because of health/stamina/foul problems, and I'd much rather have AD and David Lee in the rotation than guys like Jerome James.

Sadly, you're probably right. Unfortunately, in Penny and AD, we have the brunt of the expiring contracts big enough to absorb Steph's salary. KVH is the other but indications are Cuban doesn't want bloated contracts, plus they probably like Terry better than Steph.

I'm not even sure Steph puts a contender over the top. If you're out to win it this year you have to worry that Steph doesn't form on court chemistry quickly. That leaves next year as your primary window to win it, as by the following year he's probably worn out his welcome.

We could trade him to a team that should be doing a lot better than they are - maybe a team that is getting desperate to meet its expectations. If the heat hover around 500 for a while, they could be a possibility, but I'd say that the Rockets are one of the few teams that would be willing to take on Stephon - high hopes with Tmac, Swift, and Yao, and rafer alston has been disappointing.

Houston is probably the only team who would consider a trade for marbury. They need a pg who can penetrate and take some of the pressure off T-mac. The good thing about trading withthem is, I doubt Marbury would put them over the top especially with Yao out and T-mac in and out of the lineup with back issues. If we could squeeze a pick out of them, it could end up being a lottery pick.
