Last nite watched the 1978 team get blown out by philly on classic NBA TV. Imagine Red coaching Haywood, Mcadoo, Earl, ray Willimams, rookie Michael Ray, Toby knight, jim Cleamons, Glenn, and the human eraser. Announcer saying same **** about that team as our today. Amazing! They were worse! But they kept saying a collection of names doe not a team make! 1978! Star Phuckers then! Star phuchers now!

Then the Celts vs. Knicks in 1985. Lost again. Showed Ewing getting hurt!

THen the 94 overtime game, very exciting, lost again.

My wife keeps walking by and saying "appears to be the history of this team!"

Bitch!

Eh I catch myself maoning and groaning about how the Knicks are cursesd, etc, but you know what, outside of like a max of 6 teams, what team's history would you rather have?

I mean sure, Lakers and Celtics are awesome alltimers, Chicago had the inrcredible Jordan run of six titles, and SA seems to be the darling of the last 7 or so years.

But outside of that, teams have had it pretty rought. The Bucks who seem to be the perennial 2nd round team that is good, but not even close to contention. The Heat, who just keep loosing game 7th. Indy, competing, but not anything grander then us in our haydays. At least we won back in the day twice. I'm not even sure Indy won once in the NBA.

In the West its even worth. Sactown had one real legit run of good years, and they never even got to the finals. Portland was holding on to a huge double digit lead in the 4th quarter away from the finals and probably an easy win.

Seattle had a short gimpe of hope with Kemp and Payton, and they got dimsmissee by the Bulls. Then they suck for a while, have one awesome year, and half the team is gone.

I'm not even talkin about the teams that alwasy suck like the Hawks, the Clippers, etc.

Raptors seemed to have it made with Carter and McGrady, and now they have neither and a GM who is trying to make the leage forget Layden.

Bad years come and go, at least we have the money to spend on players.

There are at least 20 teams out there who are def worse of then us in general historically.

No doubt, very few teams actually put it together. It takes some luck also.

Have to put the back to back finals trip the nets took recently. I give that team a lot of respect for having done that. they also gave Detroit a run for its money the season before last.

In 1994 we were 12-12 at christmas and Pat Riles just had his first ever 5 game losing streak!

the team was not playing well.

We went to the finals that year!

Teams can turn it around!

It pains everytime I see old Bernard Kings games. If only he didn't get hurt and he had a chance to play with Ewing. King, in his prime could score point for point with Jordan. We ight have won at least one ring with Ewing/King. Eventhough he only played about 3-4 years with Knicks, his jersey should be hanging from the rafters. Why did the Knicks let him go? Eventhough he wasn;t the same player after injury, he did manage to average about 27 one year with the bullets. Coulda, shoulda, woulda.....
